honestly I wish they would bring all of these amazing practical european cars to America (particularly the 118d) and get ride of those ridiculous gas guzzlers - seriously im sick of them!!! The BMW 118/120d should have arrived in the U.S. yesterday if you catch my drift. The only decent fuel efficient diesel is currently the Audi A3 tdi - and it is overpriced!

@simsy1962 im not sure but the 1 is from 1 serie of bmw like one of the less expencive ones..

18 i think is the engine like uhm, man im dutch i cant explain in english, but you know Liters.... u also got a 120 wich looks almost same only bigger engine..

@modwebby Actually the 118d and 120d and 123d all have 2.0 Litre Engines, they are just tuned differently.

@modwebby Sorry, but you're wrong, my friend works for BMW and confirmed that it is 2.0L, also I spoke to a salesman at my local BMW garage on the weekend when looking at cars and he also said it.

Good CAR, BUT GET THE PETROL VERSION.

BMWs new Valvetronic design means that on 2.0 petrol models and above, YOU ACTUALLY GET A LARGER TORQUE RANGE than the DIESEL!!!!!!!!!!!
