Oh God this is one of the most amazing sparring sessions I've seen (and trust me I've seen a lot). Look how technical it is. Rigondeaux's easy, fast and graceful movement in, out, left right is just out of this world! Amazing! Thanks for sharing it!

@hhanonymous are you insane? what do you mean IF he was holding back? he barely threw a thing and just worked on his movement. of course he was holding back. one of the best and most skilled male boxers on the planet is hardly gonna try and take a young girls head off in sparring. and he is southpaw. he is supposed to circle to the right. i'm afraid its clear that you know nothing about boxing.

@sedod66 What I failed to mention was I don't like how Rig holds his hands low. I know its partially a technique to invite shots to counter your opponent, but if he fights any real competition he'll get touched a lot more. Also I recognize that Rig is really talented, and powerful but to me he has amateurish tendencies because he fought in the amateurs for 9 long years before going pro.

 yeah that is a problem with staying amateur too long, but it was at the very top level so hopefully all its done is sharpen his timing and reflexes much more than most pro's. providing he has the right training and sparring to get used to 12 rounds i see him going far. hands down style was used to great effect by jones jr and in my opinion one of the greatest lightweights and southpaws of all time, pernell whitaker. with rigs counterpunching and speed, he could have great success.

Rigondeaux always toys with peeps... which is ok in sparring perhaps... trying to test new things... but one of these days a puncher is gonna nail his ass!

@irishmma1 he's also 7 time cuban champ, 2 time olympic champ and had about 400 amateur fights. and he's undefeated as a pro. katie did really well with him.

@colol1122 i have been following boxing since 1985 so i know what counter punching is! Why run around the ring against a girl. Give her a chance, you can block & slip without using your feet. Its called upper body movemnet. As i said James Toney was an expert at it! A former Olympic champion should be able to do it, if i can!!! I used to spar with Jane Couch in Bristol & didn"t "run" around the ring,
