I'm Brazilian. And for the first time I watched videos of the participants of X Factor and was blown away by the talent, voice and presence of Rebecca Ferguson. I do not know how this Matt Cardle won? Again, as well as here in Brazil, people who have talent for those who lose only has a pretty face. Although she is very beautiful. Congratulations, Rebecca, you're wonderful! And I'll show your videos to all my friends here in Brazil.

Early Aretha Franklin, for example. Notice how every dissonant note she skates across resolves into something beautiful - that's a GIFT.
Coming second is the best thing that happened to her, it gives her the control and no pressure to deliver her first album - which I am sure will be stunning. I will buy it - as will millions. In time she will be a far bigger star than any X factor winner - she has a timeless voice - which will be eternal. Looking forward to listening to her soon.
Rebecca has the most unique voice I have ever heard since Billy Haliday ( sorry did I spell that right?) anyway she is just amazing and I think they all realized that from the time she opened her mouth!! who in there right mind would not give this charming young woman a record contract there not stupid she has a briliant recording voice and I for 1 cannot wait for her album good luck in 2011 Rebecca x.

@shazcad Yea, I think I've seen all her performances, I know the last 2 or 3 weeks she sang 2 songs. As a foreigner I can only give you my take on why she didn't win. Think she got screwed at the finale, she sang with Aguilara, major diva who didn't connect with her and Matt got Riyanah who REALLY connected with him..lol But it didn't seem fair to me. Aguilara was a bad choice I think. But Rebecca will be bigger star than him anyway.
@shazcad As a matter of fact my sister came over to do her taxes on my puter the other day, when done I said listen to this girl and she said "oh my God, what a voice" and sat here and listened to about 6 of her performances. This girl is going to be very big. Her voice is like no one elses and everything she sings sounds original.

I love this girl too! And I know what it is to have lost your confidence- I too wanted nothing more than to sing from the time I was little and I used to believe I had the voice to do it! Now I can barely do a youtube video because I have lost that confidence- I put up my 1st youtube video recently! I don't profess perfection, but it would be nice to have some coach me back to confidence in it like they've done wit this beautiful young lady.

Don't get me wrong i love Rebecca and want her to win, but is it me, check out 1.17 that looks to me like a very knowing, confident look. I am not so sure about the shy, not knowing how good you are bit now. I think she knows how good she is, and this look at 1.17 confirms it for me. I think her shyness portrayal is part of the act, sorry not rubbishing her as it works, especially with her first audition. She was already int he business having made a dance track which is on You Tube.

OMG!!! Her rendition of 'Fireflies' is just beautiful. I have listened to it over and over again and it's phenomenal. I didn't recognise it at first because she has such a different style. She kind of grows on you. subtle but creeps up and then knocks you over with a sledgehammer. I love her. Becca to win by a mile. Can't wait to buy her first album

Rebecca really needs to sing this again, as Matt did again with his boot camp song rendition of Roberta Flack's "The first time ever I saw your face".

I love this girl too! And I know what it is to have lost your confidence- I too wanted nothing more than to sing from the time I was little and I used to believe I had the voice to do it! Now I can barely do a youtube video because I have lost that confidence- I put up my 1st youtube video recently! I don't profess perfection, but it would be nice to have some coach me back to confidence in it like they've done wit this beautiful young lady.

I have one word for this woman.... EPIC... her voice brings tears to my eyes almost every time I hear her sing. This is powerful moment in music history people -- Rebecca Ferguson is going to be an world wide ICON in music history. She represent the deep old soul music that has been lost and had almost gone extinct. She is the red in roses and the blue in th sea -- her sound reaches right in and gently touches my soul. I believe she deservs to work with true artistic indviduals who will repect her individuality and allow her to experiment go away live life, write songs and make amazing music.
I'm afraid if she came 2nd or won she will be forced into a cookie cutter music box and be rushed into making something that's not her.

Don't get me wrong i love Rebecca and want her to win, but is it me, check out 1.17 that looks to me like a very knowing, confident look. I am not so sure about the shy, not knowing how good you are bit now. I think she knows how good she is, and this look at 1.17 confirms it for me. I think her shyness portrayal is part of the act, sorry not rubbishing her as it works, especially with her first audition. She was already int he business having made a dance track which is on You Tube.

OMG!!! Her rendition of 'Fireflies' is just beautiful. I have listened to it over and over again and it's phenomenal. I didn't recognise it at first because she has such a different style. She kind of grows on you. subtle but creeps up and then knocks you over with a sledgehammer. I love her. Becca to win by a mile. Can't wait to buy her first album

Really want to buy her album as soon as they release it. Hope they don't make her record a load of crap covers, but I would pay seriously good money to see her perform 'fireflies' on stage.
