yep!  i'm just learning it myself, and the more i do i realize that many in the church really don't. on the one hand it's a relief, when i find the truth in the Bible, over and over again, and that it's not necessarily what the church is peddling. on the other hand it's also terrifying, that those who are representing Christ are so poorly read in scripture.

i don't know what scripture web is but i agree. i always look stuff up because half the time it's not quite what they're talking about. i think the Bible is actually pretty straightforward, and the more you read of it the more it comes together. people just take it out in bits and pieces and sometimes read things into it that just aren't there, put their own little spin on things, or find some obscure definition that allows them to get what they're looking for or avoid what they can't accept.
