  • @aligned576 Thank you. The glycerin makes your skin and hair shine.☺

  • @happydimples39 Glycerin is a humectant, and it attracts moisture.

  • @aligned576 Hello!

I'd like to add some facts on glycerin :)

I am a teen, transitioned for a few months until my relaxed hair was matted.

Talked to my mom one night about having short hair. Went into the bathroom and cut it all off, to a TWA. My hair was dry and the usual products that worked for the relaxed hair didn't work.

I got glycerin, best thing ever!

It's hygroscopic, it draws water from it's surroundings. It leaves my hair moisturized all day! 2/3 H20 1/3 glycerin=wonderful.

  • @xxlanaleolionxx : Thanx 4 sharing.

  • Thanks for this video. Does it stays creamy like this over time or hardens a big more?

  • @jemy1415 Thank you for watching. it didn't, it harden again, but I found a good way to make it stay creamy. add peanut oil to it.

  • @happydimples39 Thanks so much for replying! I have been looking for a way to keep the shea butter soft. I will try the peanut oil.

  • @jemy1415 You are so welcome. I take a little of my shea butter that is already whipped and I added peanut oil and stir it with a folk or a whisk. It is really soft and creamy. I love it. You are so welcome, anytime.☺

  • I like how u say "and that's your opinion" to funny. How do you use this in ur hair? Do you grease ur scalp or use it as a moisturizer?

  • @wellwell03 (LOL) Some people. You can grease your scalp with it and massage it in the hair. You can use it as a moisturizer too. You can rub it on you skin too.☺

  • too many oils

  • @zeezee441 And that's your opinion.☺

  • i like the meltiing of the shea butter but thats too much oil. one or two is enough. simple products makes your hair grow too much protein for anything can cause damage. this is horrible.

  • @SexiCoolWIL And that our Opinion. You make it how you want to make it and I'll make it how I want to make it. My hair is doing just fine. I use it for everything else, NOT only my hair. But it your Opinion. Thanks for watching.☺

  • I love that song:) It was one of my Father's favorites:)

  • @USVet1973 :-) ☺ I love it. One of my favorites too.☺

  • I think it'll stay creamy(ier) if it is whipped for at least half an hour AND the ratio of liquid oils has to be high enough to keep the shea from reverting back to its harder state. Also, its good not to put essential oils (rosemary, lemon etc) over something that's still heating. I think they should be added after the mixture has been removed from heat and cooled a bit.

  • @mjeol Thank you. I will try that next time. I really wanted it creamy. ☺

  • Thanks for providing this video for us!

  • @kiiravana You are so welcome.☺

  • does your butter settle after awhile and harden? Ive tried making it before and after awhile its no longer creamy and whipped...tryin to figure out how to avoid this. any suggestions?

  • @naturallychicrene I have made it for the second time. Yes it does. It harden back. I want it to be smooth and creamy. I will figure it though.

  • @happydimples39 thx for replying:)

  • @naturallychicrene Gurl LOL. I just did the same thing, and my personal whipped concoction was like spackling paste within just a few hours LOL. Shea butter is funny. I keep reading and hearing that to prevent hardness, people whip it for at least 45 mins to 4 hours!!

  • @MissPrettyBean oh wow...lol good to know about the extra whipping time. thx!!

  • where did u get the double boiler?

  • @sherrosgirl It was on a chocolate commercial. The pot was to melt chocolate and make candy. I forgot the name of the commercial. Thanks for watching.☺

  • WOW, You get 5 pounds worth for 9 or $10? That is a bargain! I have been getting 1kg(just over 2pounds) for $38 and I thought that was quite cheap. I live in Australia though, there isn't many shea butter sellers in Australia. I get mine off ebay from an Australian seller.

  • @Secret13792 Oh okay. Yes I true to look for bargains..Thank you so much for watching.☺
