I like your 45-EY-2 sometimes the rebuilt Idler tires wheels will have a slight wow, sometimes your better off to work with what you got (if possible)at anyrate this player sounds great, they way they was ment to me played, theres nothing worse then a good oldie being ruined with stereo sound, some things are better left alone =] Keep the 45 alive!!!!
i have that player. i'm fixing one up for someone i know. i replace the cam cycle wheel, drive wheel, the ac plug, and a 35w4 tube. i have a replacement phono cart for it too, but it might also need some new resistors because they smoked on me. its the ones connect to the 35w4 tube.

that has a little bit of wobble in it sounds like it the wow sound, I have this song on my ipod and it sounds like it was recorded yesterday

If your resistors smoked, check the capacitors associated with them, they may be shorted.
