I watched almost every Robert De Niro movie, at least three times. Taxi Driver, Deer Hunter, Once upon a time in America, Casino... if you don't like De Niro... just watch one of these movies once and you'll change your opinion, that is for sure.

Cape Fear to me has to be one of the most challenging but perfectly well acted performances by De Niro. I look at that film and just astonished of the hard work, intense story lines, the accent ,etc that Deniro put into it. I just dont see any other actor being able to pull that part off like the way he did it.
