That's so cute! Over the years, I've had several dachshunds. I had one named Frankie who loved to sit like that on the sofa and also like to be held like that. He'd also hold the begging position like a prairie dog. He'd jump up and off furniture. There was just no keeping him down. He lived to be over 18 y/o and never had back problems.

Omg, my thirty pound pomerainian (throw back, he was slightly over weight but he was also three times the size of a normal pom) developed arthritis, and for three years we carried him everywhere, and when we went places we would put him in a sling stroller just like this and we used a belt to hold him up right. People thought he was a kid in a fur suit. He loved it. Sadly we lost him to prostate cancer about five months ago. (We miss you Cubby)

Whether or not the dog felt uncomfortable in this little chair - the truth is - it is VERY wrong position to put a dachshund in considering the length of their backs and the pressure the spinal column and discs are under in this pose - just gravity. No -brainer really - just don't do it to them - TOO many of them have back problems helped along by actions like this. They are too precious to jeopardise!!!

Thank you so much for the video!! My daughter used to do the same thing to our doxy, Sugar. She would either push her in the babydoll stroller, or ride her in the Barbie Jeep. It was the cutest thing!! Sugar loved to ride in strollers the most. When she got to big for the toy strollers, she started riding in the bottom of the real strollers!!
