@TheWisdom187 I'm sure you know this but German humor is far more subtle. Their method of sarcasm sounds almost identical to an American who is just normally talking. It's very difficult to really notice the difference unless you're a native speaker.

@Kruezoraxe i speak german and the humor is more what we consider slapstick humor. they laugh at things we find to silly to laugh at, for example there was a comedian on tv and he was joking about the ´´DIE, DER, and DAS´´ the germans use instead of just ´´ THE´´ that we use for masculine and femanine, so the joke was why do they say DER BUS when its not masculine, and he just asks does the bus have a penis... it just wasnt funny but the germans loved it.

Sure, there a some simpleminded idiots here in Germany, but there are also some in other countrys...aside from them, nobody would even think of this as funny =)

And yes, German humor mostly consists of sarcasm (that's why we have a good deal of political and social satire here in Germany).
