I want to say on your "Alliance of 5" - Panama, Exile Island (Season 12) - those guys stuck together, yes Terry was still there as a result of winning so many immunity challenges, and Danielle was "thinking" about siding with Terry - but ultimately, they stuck together and voted the other tribe out as they could, with the exception of Terry being the thorn in their side.

Thanks for all the responses. I do agree with a lot of you about first day alliances, sometimes you need to do that for the first few votes then really keep one person who you are gonna stay true to. Great discussion friends, keep it going!

I didn't like how Coach's tribe just walked away from him when he lost the challenge, all except for one person. I don't know much about ozzie because I didn't watch that season, but He needs to get da boot fast...Cochran...I think his last minute speech saved his bacon. I felt bad for him, but he managed to smooth talk everyone.

Hi remy, I don't think a forming of alliances is a good idea on the first day. The reason being that you don't really get a feel of for the person. For example, last year when christina formed an early alliance with Fbi agent ( former) phillip. She regretted it right after..lol. As for Brandon Hantz, I agree with you, he did look very creepy...because he was staring at her..like she was the apple, and he wanted to take a bite.

i dont really like anyone yet...i agree with you whoever orchestrates ozzys departure is who im rooting for if ozzy makes it far he is gonna win this game.i hope this season isnt gonna me like big brother was this season where all the game players took each other out and it ended up with floaters and coasters at the end (adam ad rachel)

Nice video but Brandon does not tell Coach who he is in the next episode. I like Cochran because we are both huge fans of the show although I am probably an even bigger one (with an almost complete survivor buff collection!!) I don't think he will last long though as he is weak and is talking to much as a fan rather than as a player. Bad move!

I really love this so called 'new evolution' of Survivor : bringing back great players from the past, who have never won and eager to succeed this time.

The main dilemma is always the same.If one of the tribes voted out Ozzy or Coach,they would weaken themselves a lot.It could be fatal in long term as in the previous season.On the other hand,at least Ozzy is a big threat to reach to the final.The more he stays in the game,the more chance he has.

I think Brandon just has some crush on Mikeyla but he knows she'd never like him back. And I really don't like Cochran :/ he's some knockoff of J.T's finale partner in Tocantins. Also, in the last 2 seasons first day alliances have worked out until the merge for the most part

I think if they are trustworthy u should start a day 1 alliance with someone because if it is the finals and there are twop people in ur alliance the person who u have had a solid alliance with since day 1 is more likely to take you. i don't think u should ever fully trust them and let them control your vote like past survivors have done. eg danielle, becky, phillip or yau man

I like Cocrin (can't spell it) because he's awesome, Keith because he's tall and I like tall guys, Ozzy because...well because he's Ozzy, and Coach because he's my favourite player ever. Or at least he's tied with Rupert for that spot. I just hope that Coach isn't voted out early, because I want to see more of the Dragonslayer.

I used to like ozzy very much in the past seasons.. but now he's changed.. I don't know what to say about him.. I think he will definitly get to the murge because people are afraid to vote him out... and I think he will get very attached with the girls.. Coach will make it to the jury and that's it..

I don't think you make a true alliance with a group on day 1 either, but, I think it would be beneficial for the first say...3-4 votes within your tribe to have that strategy...the thing is though...you'll find out after day1 who you've really teamed up with! You might have shaken hands with someone you just can't stand to keep around...idk...I love Survivor, but doubt I'd be able to think 4-5 moves ahead like Boston Rob...

Day 1 alliances are only good to get you past the first tribal or two. I don't think they are a good long term idea though, especially with 5 people.

Cochran - funniest guy ever! Hope he outlasts because I want to watch him every week!

Semhar - annoying as heck! Poetry stunk! And, really - she didn't realize how heavy coconuts were and that's why she got tired. She only threw two of them!

For the record - I don't have a problem with first-day alliances, as long as you make sure you don't pick the whack-jobs.

I really wish Special Agent Philip came back instead of Ozzy!!!!

Anyways, yeah Day 1 episodes are very hard to honor especially in a game that changes every day. Usually it doesn't work out. I thought the episode was fine, I think this season feels a little bit better than last season. Just the contestants seem more knowledgeable about the game and are willing to play. Ozzy and Coach, is eh for the most part. We'll see how this season goes.

20th view! I dont think Ozzy or Coach are going to win this one (Like you said they are both big dumb animal crackers). That african girl missing the immunity idol hint in the tree hole bothered me, especially when the editors interweave her confessional saying "Who knows where it is, it could be under my very nose, i could have already passed by it and missed it". Cochran is my favourite so far. And like you, I was extremely let down by Brandon Hantz.
