Steve Perry left Journey due to hip replacement surgery. Given that, besides that he is now over 60 years old, I dont think he can rock the same way as he did during Journey's heydays. But of course he will always be remembered as the voice of JOurney. Arnel Pineda continues that legacy sound.

@VIRZITONE Actually steve perry was fired because he was hesitant to do the hip replacement surgury. Neil Schon & Jonathan Cain cornered him and gave him the ultimatum...get the surgury done so we can do the Trial by Fire Tour or your fired. As a result of steve perry beign fired, Steve Smith, the original drummer quit because of Steve Perry getting fired. That's why he is not with Journey anymore. There are more facts that you are unaware of.

It was not one of his better performances, that's obvious. Doesn't mean he is not good in others. Just my observations.
