to dudes, I lost the password to this old account, but I just want to thank those of you who take this video for what it is: a unique interpretation of the song, not a carbon copy of Chris' fretwork. Look up the tab if you want the most "accurate" rendition. I can only hope that this version is agreeable to some viewers.
Your version's interesting, but you're making life hard for yourself. This song is mostly open and barre figures. Look for my tab--just do a Google search for "Seasons Cornell cool_no9" and you'll find the original tab that the little Fraudster has so helpfully quoted down there.
(I just searched for it and was surprised to find I only did it back in 2001--I thought it was longer than that ...)
This song has a fascinating sound that is a result of a doggedly odd tuning the only hint to which can be detected towards the end of the song when an open strum of the 12th fret harmonics is heard. Here's how to tune your guitar for this piece: (low to high): E - up one half step to F A - down two whole steps to F D - down one whole step to C G - down three and one half steps to C B - up one half step to C E - down two whole steps to C
By the time i get to learn how to play this song i stop playing the guitar. This song is everything!! thanks for the detail tutorial it is very good!!
i really appreciate the fact u enjoy cornell and have made this effort, but what happened to the light man, i can hardly see whats going on, and the tab screens are too small. you should represent other cornell videos as well, you're grossly over doing 'you know my name'. apart from that good shit.
no man, don't delete yours! I just had a buncha free time to make this. I believe that your method is at least equally valid to my own. I just saw there was some interest in learning the song
it is obvious that you take a lot of pride in all you do. i will delete my site immediately...lol wow that was way cool! whoever cant play this song after that... im sorry theres just not much more to say
EBEF#BE more interesting for improvisation, than FFCCCC...

You wear your name well, xXFraudXx--thanks for quoting me verbatim, at least.
I tabbed that song over ten years ago, and yes, the only way to tell how to tune it properly is to wait for the open harmonic strum towards the end.
