Callas is so great she is much better than Dessay - come to think of it - Dessay sucks and her dreadful voice makes me vomit. Her recent Hamlet was so awful in terms of acting and singing that the audience was running out of the MET in hundreds screaming: We paid for that!!! Shame! @callasloverable I despise Dessay by and large, and certainly am not a big netrebko fan. I am not a big Callas fan either, unless she is singing like this- in her proper repertoire and screaming her lungs out. Callas had plenty of lousy performances in my opinion, anyway.

I've never stated, the Callas has been "bad. Still I claim, that she was overestimated - exactly like Karajan. I know, here more the image becomes important than the actual skill - true to the motto: The Callas is so famous, consequently so it must be also brilliant and beyond any doubt.
I find this strange long-term presence, this star razzamatazz and hype (even yet), besides, extremely suspicious, particularly as her really strong phase was only very very short.
