I'm a US citizen living in Asia right now and I am suffering from this...it's a bitch and can be embarrassing. To make things even worse is that I am also bipolar so I got sick and needed to double dose on meds. Culture Shock is real.

Take my advice and save your parents hard earned money. Education to high school is a joke. University education is ok but way over rated. Racism is a big problem here. Since the U.S. is a police/ prison state, you run the risk of serving a long sentence for petty or even no crime. So, why do most around the world think it's a mecca? Because of intimidation. Look up gang stalking, gang stalking TV, gang stalking survivor, cell phone stalking, Monarch II (pt twelve), freedom's bloody corpse, etc.

I'm an American studying abroad for a semester and this presentation helped me understand that what I'm going through (or what I was going through a few weeks ago, especially) is not abnormal and it doesn't mean I would never be able to survive living in a country that's not my own. Thanks!
