My variation on your Mexican Chicken includes about 2 cups chicken bouillon(2st crystals=2cups water) and sometimes I'll use a jar of salsa instead of the tomatoes w/green chilies. All so easy in the crockpot. I love to tell the family how I've 'Slaved away all day'!
Watched your video this morning, realized I had all the ingredients on hand, then threw everything together. It was absolutely fantastic! And SO easy! Will definitely be a making a repeat appearance. :-)
IKR! I love taco style bases for many dishes for my family. We make Tacos, Taco Salads, Nachos, Enchiladas, Mexican Pizza, Taco Soup, 7 layer Taco Casserole, and I know there are more meals you can use it for. Plus it'll stay in the freezer easy 6 months + if it's vac. sealed.
5 to 6 hours, do you know how much gas your wasting and how much the cost for gas is or if your using an electric stove,do u know how much electricity your wasting and how much it costs
@megatammy101 She used a crockpot hun. Those things don't take up that much electricity. In fact more electricity is expended by using a computer for just 1 hr as opposed to using a crockpot for 7 or 8 hrs.
@GlindaTheGoodWitch1 I highly doubt that it would be frugal to buy organic foods. Furthermore, this women seems entirely too price savy to allow food politics affect her dinner table.
As a chemist, the entire "organic" food movement is nauseatingly full of lies, poor science and suckers. Please, ask a scientist and ask why those don't buy organic.
@ryoshi100 Even if she does buy organic you can still save ALOT of money if you know when to buy. Every product (food or others) that you buy has a specific time when it's the lowest. The saying "buy in season" doesn't just apply to fruits and veggies.
@capacity96 Indeed, however you didn't really say anything that counters my point. Her saving sense would be compounded by avoiding prestige. The only time I buy organic is when it's cheaper. There are no added benefits other than fashion-ability.
