  • I just need one verse where it says God does not want people to support his ministry? just one, no matter how unethical or immoral you think Gods law is you can not change it. Matthew 23:23

It did not die on the cross if it did God would replaced with another financial way for us to fund the church. But tithing is all through the bible and it existed before Moses law with Abraham and he taught it to his children

    Gods law still exist

  • Question: "I just need one verse where it says God does not want people to support his ministry?"

Answer: don't confuse tithing with supporting. You can support without tithing. In some cases, giving more than tithing suggests. Tithing is OT, like circumcision... a part of the law.

  • Hey bro, just wanted to qualify something... I made a mistake and clicked the thumbs down on your comment when I meant to click thumbs up... doh! Sorry my friend. I agree with you. God bless! :)

  • If there are some real ministers who would go out to these churches and preach the truth about tithing, these churches will shut down completely. Most people are tithing because they were taught and they're ignorant of scripture. I would love to go on TBN and bring the truth about tithing and be prepared to be kicked off the show (LOL).

  • If you do go to TBN (total blasphemous network) I'll pitch in for the jet ticket. God forbid binny would use his jet to come pick you up....

  • This is very true. Ask any Jew if they tithe in the Synagogue. Christian Churches will say we are no longer under the law, but the Law of Tithing is still to be followed. People in the Churches are so brainwashed, most have no idea what they really believe in.

  • So basically it was Shut up and give, while the pastor prospered, drove Mercedes Benz and Bentleys and you just make it however you can, and obey God.

  • I have wondered about this subject since I was a child in the church, because I understood and was taught at an early age about the old and new covenant, unlike every other principle that I was taught to examine and analyze, when this question was posed, I was told that we are to follow after the order of Malchesidech period! And if you didnt, you dont believe God is merciful

  • Church history says Tithing was not practiced in the early Church. Most of the Pastors do not deserve to receive tithing. Thanks friend for posting this video. TakeBackChristianity. The Blab-it-and-grab-it prosperity gospel is based on the lie of NT tithing. These money greedy Pastors live a luxuriously life but their followers live in need.

  • i challange every 1 to tithe for 1 month and tell me if u did not see a differnce! ALSO

if i were poor i wouldnt mind titheing because hey whats 10% of a dollor anyway

    10 cents!!!

so the more u make the more the dollor amount becomes.

faith comes by hearing, hearing by the word of GOD. IF U CANT HEAR FROM I URGE U NOT TO POST MESSAGES THAT DECIEVE OR MISLEAD THE WORD OF GOD BECAUSE OF YOUR OWN MIS UNDERSTANDING Read Matthew 23:23

  • Hi Billionairehair- You must not know of the multitudes who have practiced tithing and are worse off. It is false teaching. It is damaging to the church to be taking money from the poor and promising them blessings. Help the poor recover, rather than taking their money in the name of God.

  • Hi Billionairehair-

Also... In the OT, the poor received a portion of the tithe, and never paid it. The poor did give freewill offerings, but never tithed. Please don't conflate 'freewill offerings' with 'tithing'... two different things entirely!

  • You have NO idea of what you are saying. 1st of all, in Matthew 23:23, it was not a commandment to tithe, mint, anise and cummin are herbs, not money and the Pharisees and Scribes that Jesus where talking to tithe by law. The New Covenant had not been established yet because the death of Jesus did that. 2ndly, the promise of Malachi 3:10 says that you will receive a blessing that you will not have room to receive it, not to "see a difference" as you put it. Tithing was instituded by law.

  • It is pathetic to ask the poor to tithe, because the poor deserve mercy and a hand-up instead of guilt and asking for their money. In the OT, the poor RECEIVED a portion of the tithe- NEVER paid it. The widow in the NT who donated a mite did that as a feewill offering, much different than tithing.

  • the tithe is biblical. Jesus supported tithing. Read Matthew 23:23... he says you should tithe...

  • RE: Matthew 23;23... Jesus was under the law at that point. After He died and rose again, the full gospel was known- esp. the gospel that was to be preached to the Gentiles. No longer under the Jewish law-- this was debated at the Jerusalem Council, the first Church Council, read about it in Acts 15.

  • The Old Testament was still in effect until Jesus died on the cross. He said "It is finished" which can be translated as "Paid in Full". Jesus fulfilled the Old Testament and establised a New Covenant. Jesus would not have paid tithes, neither would most of the Disciples since they did not grow crops or raise livestock. A fisherman did not pay tithes on his catch. A carpenter did not pay tithes on his earnings. Tithing as taught today is unbiblical and manmade. God owns all your money, not 10%.

  • Should we 4get (as in dump) the old testament?

  • The Old Covenent has been replaced with the Now Covenent, in Christ's blood. If you want to obey all the Jewish laws, all 613 of them, then why not convert to Judaism?

    ...Berrmutt

  • Oops- when I said "Now Covenent" I menant "New Covenent."

    ...Berrmutt

  • who says i'm not a convert?

  • U shouldn't forget the Old Testament, but just know that it does not apply to you. The bible clearly says that if you live according to it, you must do everything it requires, or else you have broken the entire law and are subject to it's curses. You must want to be cursed, Pastoreasy. Jesus became a curse for you and redeemed you from the curse of the law. Also, it is written that they that walk in the spirit are not subject to the law and the law was made for transgressors. R U still a sinner?

  • UUHHH! Nobody is justified or saved by the law-works. NOT ONE!!

    Unbelievable!

Manipulating perisioners about tithing obligation is a filthy satanic perversion of scriptures.

    its called deception!

satan is the father of the lie.

  • my god, man, you truly found the answer to much of our church cultural problems: WE DONT UNDERSTAND THE BIBLE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! thank you.

  • About the widow's mite (Mark 12:41)... that was a freewill offering, not a tithe. A HUGE difference. She didn't tithe, but her little penny meant more to God than the rich who only gave a tithe. Scripture:

Mark 12 ... 43 ... Jesus said, "I tell you the truth, this poor widow has put more into the treasury than all the others. 44They all gave out of their wealth; but she, out of her poverty, put in everything—all she had to live on."

  • What about the widow's mite? She gave all she had. She was poor.

  • dsrtflwr-In context Jesus was condemning the scribes for "devouring widow's houses" Jesus then uses a poor widow to show how they were doing it. He could have simply used a "poor man" or a "poor woman", but He specifically uses a "poor widow" to make His point, tying it to His condemnation of the scribes. I would urge you to watch George Greene's videos "The Truth About the Widow's Gift" (google) (By the way, John MacArthur recently gave a sermon with the same view)

  • Good interview. I agree with you guys.

I'm gonna post links on my page so people could see your videos.

If you have time, checkout my video title: THE ART OF MANIPULATION (Tithing)

  • Hey Ringo4life people are catching on. We've got to get the word out.
