michele jimenez ...i remember auditioning for the company(washington ballet) last combination.. michele decides to go across one more time and tells me to come across with her..GAG.. i was like no way( motioned with my hand) she's like oh come on (mouthed and motioned with hand) i just hung my head as a walked over horrified. i could barly dance for watching her the jetes beyond split and just as high in the air as me and i am a boy . needles to say i didn't make it. never go in feeling down
...dancing Choleric, so it may be a little unfair for me to compare THOSE performances against these. But here's the problem. The Balanchine Foundation is pretty rabid in making sure that NO video of NYCB performing anything for more than a few seconds appears online. So the examples readily available of his work are either those on pretty hard to find or expensive videos or dvds (& then from what I hear theres too much talk & not enough dance), or these, "ok" performances by other companies.
Thanks, for the girl's name. Are you in Dutch Nat'l? Francia Russell, former director of Pac. NW Ballet was there to set Concerto Barocco as well...Casey did the male lead again. (I have been the piano soloist or PNB for many years, and formerly piano soloist with the NYCB....Have played all these ballets...and certainly the piano solo part in 4 T's....

The male dancer is Casey Herd, formerly principal dancer with Pacific Northwest Ballet....(don't know the girl)...very good performance....
