What holds the arrow up at the bow? I thought about making one of these and drilling a 1/4" hole at the center of the bow and sticking a dowel rod through it and letting it stick out about 1/2" on both sides for left and right handed people.  Not sure how it would work though, guess I'll never know until I try it.

I forgot that part I just used Construction string line it can take the tension. Thanks for the great comments.
