The lads are from 5 SCOTS, they are a Light Role Air Assault Battalion but not PARA.

5th Battalion The Royal Regiment of Scotland is based at Howe Barracks in Canterbury. It is an air Assault Battalion and part of 16 Air Assault Brigade, Britain's Rapid Reaction Force.

The British military is open to some commonwealth citizens. E.g Australia, Canada and New Zealand. I'm not sure but maybe South Africa is included??

same, im join 2 or 4, 2 is light division and 4 is the green jackets, im goin for 2nd, in january hehe, i got a week away with the rifles in october and i got my tests in october aswell, i tried once before in july but failed due to back problems haha :S u goin on the edinborough trip with rifles?

Getting on to 60% of new recruits are Fijians, Canadians, Zimbabweans and from Jamaica, St Vincent, St Kitts etc. in the Caribbean. Also a lot of Eastern Europeans. British army stay British? Not enough Brits want to join it. Incidentally, aren't the royal marines part of the Navy?
