  • dude clean your nasty ass room!! nice mix doe

  • 2:59-6:20 track ID please:)

  • your room is well tidy !

  • thanks mate erm the pionere decks do it tho dont they with the platter on the outside that acts as the pitch aswell dunt it or does that go back to zero aswell let me no cos me mite invest in some pioneres

  • It's the same situation, the jog wheel acts as pitch bend and returns to the pitch you set on the slider (so not necessarily 0, but whatever you set the slider too)

  • can u use the jog weel on the vestax cdx 05 to act as the pitch controol to beat match n that cs a find it easier useing the jog well so wen a try use the jog well get it to the rite pitch a need it to it goes back down to 0 is there any way ov useing the jogweell instead ov the pirtch without it goin back down to 0 wen useing the jog weel if u get ths hopefully u will plz msg me or post a comment abovr this comment thanks

  • if you use the jog wheel for pitch it will only work as pitch-bend. When you let go It will return to the pitch you've set using the slider, much the same way as a vinyl deck will work.

it's really easy when you get used to it. although in my experiece I find the pitch bend buttons more responsive on the vestax decks, and the jog wheels best on pioneer.

    hope that helps :)

  • great trick

  • best

  • great5

  • wear your watch on your left hand

  • Okay.

  • I have the CDX-05 too. How did you do that effect with the jog wheel? I know you can create a loop and increase the pitch +/- 100%.

Do you have to press anything to progressively cut the loop into smaller fractions?

  • If you look closely you'l notice I hold down the enter button at the top left, then press the loop-out button. This activates the loop-end function with the jog wheel :)

    t

  • Cool i'll give it a try. I usually try to press the loop out to 1/4, 1/8, 1/16, 1/32 of a beat but i never get it right. Any other tips or tricks you have discovered except of the regular effects?

  • When you recorded the loop, how did you set the cue point to reach the climax of the track

  • Using the hot cue buttons (1,2 or 3) above the jog wheel, having the cue-play function switched on. this means you get instant playback from your cue point

  • it's not the enter button but the shift for me ...

  • Hi,

Its been over a year that you've had those cd players (If u still have them) and I would like to know....How do you like them? Would you prefer something better? ATM I use vynil, but I would like to buy some cd players and it would either be 2 New CDX-05's or two used Pioneer cdj 800 MK1....What do you recommend? I dunno how well these cd players do..Are they reliable? Hope you answer man! Btw th cdjs are over 2 years old...

  • Hi, if they are in good working order the the Pioneers are definately a more reliable deck. my CDX's have been great and not failed me, but they skip on some copied CD''s and that ruins the mix completely.

the CDX has more funtions than the pioneer 800, but the pioneer is more of a solid deck than the CDX so it's a trade off..

  • love it

  • i didn't know the vestax cdx 05 can change the final cue point loop ...

    thank's a lot :D

  • Cool matey, yeah was chuffed when I found that feature on the vestx! :)

  • where did you find those songs

  • In my DJ'ing collection mate... not exactly sure where i found each one now

  • great mix as well

  • cheers :)

  • what is the first song?

  • 1st track is a DNA remix of "No Good (Start The Dance)"

  • wuzzup with da toilet paper near the tea cup???

    that's funny mate....

  • i just got a pair of those!, thanks for that demonstration.

  • No prob, they're great decks esp for the money :)

bugger I left the power pack for one of myne at a club last week! :(

  • great!!

this kind of music is ot my style, but sounds preaty good!

    cool

youre the best cdx05 user Ive ever seen! big respect!

  • Thanks matey! nice one :) yep it's Psytrance and Breakbeat, they are the 2 styles of music being played.

  • yo that slow down shit then u came back in that got off good shyt props from the fla

  • 1 song, what?

  • Well there are actually 2. But the video is not of a mix, it is showing use of the sampler, filter and looping techniques possible with Vestax CDX-05's

  • your room luks a tip

  • Okay. Although the video's intention wasn't to show of tidy rooms.

  • damn right it was, dont be getting brave son

  • nah mate, don't wana be gettin brave!

  • yh but its the bit wen u go HI GUYS its hulerios is like ur some sota bloke hoo comes in to ur skool tryin to be cool and wen u mess up near the start its so funny

  • haha yeah i forgot that bit! I was well conscious cos i was filming myself and couldn't concentrate with the deck stuttering, so just said "oh f*k it!"

    haha mega :)

  • tom how gay is this vid . this is funny but wat does it mean

  • You're bent, haha. its not supposed to be funny moid, it's to show how to do loop and sample tricks with my Vestax decks

  • really you are having trouble with burned cd's?what was that ricoh cdr?for aulday.

  • Yeah, a lot of them skip wich makes beat-mixing impossible. but like i say it's fine using the Ricoh brand of CD's

  • tht was goood!!

ima so get some of these

i heard they have trouble reading burned cd's????

wats the name of the song in 3:06 thnx

  • It is true that the decks skip on some brands of CDR. This is a great problem when mixing, but once I found a brand it works with, they're the best decks i've used for the price.

Track at 3.06 is "Autobots vs Screwface - Apocalypse" mate :)

  • nice work on those cdx-05...im gettin mine this week!

  • Yeah, they're wicked decks for the money. as they have so much functionality, and are the best CD decks I've used (after the CDJ1000's which are best) in comparison to Denon DNS or Citronic.

Only thing I would say is they can be a bit fussy with CDR's, they skip on some brands. I've found that "Ricoh CD-R 52x" discs work just fine.

    happy mixing!

  • Thats good stuff mate! I read you decription of your trick on DSI and it fried my brain (i dont own one of those cd players). All good though! Sounds quality!

    (Chris Page from DSI)

  • hehe yeah I kind of lost it talking to the camera! so tried to write the description instead and babled on.

I'll get better with time, your vid was much easier to follow! nice1

  • Cheers mate! You should see my 'bloopers' reel. Took a couple of goes to get me not tripping over my words or bollocks up on the equipment!

  • haha yeah I couldn't be bothered after the 1st f*k up, I was just like sod it lets go!

Next time im just gonna set up, whack it up and film a mix (with the mixer as the sound source heh!)
