  • I really felt the moment

My mother used to beat me when I was a child, mostly cause I failed in a subject. There was also a time when I couldn't quite spell the words right(like spelling Crab as Krab) then she'd start yelling and hitting me and lock me out till I get it right. Afterwards though she'd start crying and hug me. I knew she meant well and I always forgave her and asked for her forgiveness too. Now we're both so close you would believe she use to hit me as a kid.

    Love you mom :)

  • I love my son more after seeing this video... and i give more time to him then any one

  • what movie is this?

  • This kids looks like Park Jaebum from 2PM. I like this movie! It's always so touching. And funny :D hospital scene!

  • @maix3dbsk HAHAHA This kid is my poly classmate now HAHAHAHA!

  • like if you think it is touching

  • As a Korean who has suffered through this sort of corporal punishment even growing up in the US, this made me start crying. All of my childhood I wanted for my parents to give me any attention because they were always working. The boy reminds me of how hard I tried to even get my parents to understand why I did what I did to get their attention, even if I was disobeying them so at least they'd notice. It literally is pretty much like that.

  • i really like this movie, and i used it for my class report

  • thats why lo.. parent should sometimes listen to their child thought.. don't just punish them. they said by caning, they can give a lesson to their child. but its totally wrong. it happen on the last few years around the world. blame history? grandpa? grandma? its all no use. its us who should think the best way to teach our child. more importantly, parents should have spend their times with their children too. dont just work. whats money without love? money can't buy your family or love

  • Guess his dad is rich, seeing as how he makes $500 an hour.

Good kid thought he could replace that one working hour of his dad with his saved + stolen + sales money to allow dad to take leave from work to see his show...

ahhh..... :'( It never fails to bring me to tears...

  • @Mytheon151 i cried because of that fact^^

  • this movie is a satire of how parents in south east asia are teaching their children through violence, only watered down. let's say all of these happen and he used it to "buy" the parents time, the parents wouldn't comfort him like here in america, they will just punish him for crying. i had been in those times, and experienced it.

  • is this singaporean show?

  • @MJDubius42 Yeah, it is. But I think they're speaking in Mandarin, or something.

  • awwww, i really like this part.

  • aawwww :(

  • @Unknownangel Thanks =_=

  • "Pock-ke-mon ka" Lmao xD

  • @XxTyranXMingHao, Shut the fuck up, if you don't understand chinese, its Pokemon Card, 你很笨,不会花纹,还小别人

  • @PodIsRight Lol you're soo lame. That guy obviously knows mandarin, I too understand mandarin, and I find it funny too ;)

  • @UnknownAngeI lol? how is it funny, wtf??

  • @Raygenn Cuz they can obviously say "Pokemon Card" properly in English, but they had to say it like it's Chinese, which sound very out of tone and funny :) That's just me ~.~

  • @UnknownAngeI For your info, 'ka' is card in chinese. I don't see anything funny in it. Obviously they have to use the chinese term because it is a chinese movie. Please think and find out your facts before commenting.

  • @ExcessiveViews Lol I know what it means, I'm not an ignorant dumbass. And I said "That's just me" if you don't think it's funny then fine, we just don't have the same sense of humor.

  • @UnknownAngeI Yeah, it's true. 'ka' means card, so basically if you translate it directly from English to Chinese, and considering there is no Chinese word for Pokemon, you get 'Pokemon' 卡, or 'ka'.

  • @BarryZeUnicorn I know that lol

  • jack neo, wei she me ni yao tou jian?

  • HE'S PARENTS ARE ASSHOLES!!!

  • And now Dad feels like the world's biggest loser!

  • Even Thought I am Not chinese but by listening the way they talk and reading the english subtitle ,I started to cry

  • The cane can tear your skin if it's hit too hard on you .

  • @CookiieAddict

no, that kind of cane, no. i was hit by that kind of cane too as a kid. it doesn't do mch except hurt. it won't do any lasting phyiscal harm, and it doesn't tear your skin. it just teaches you to be good.

  • I pity Tom's brother. I've never cried while watching a video on youtube. This reminded me of when I got caned of stealing my father's money. I apologized to my father after the caning and saw my father cry. ): This video is so, so, so touching.

  • beat first, then feel sorry after

  • It made me cried..I relate this video.

  • Oh Ashley Leong, what great actor you are.

  • stupid kid...should have said that first

  • @hyperballad22

As Asians, we know that talking to your parents when they're angry and before they've paused will only serve to make them more angry. They will then ignore everything you say after that.

This kid reacted like any other and was a trooper for not even flinching when being hit. That 'little stick' hurts like hell.

  • @ClairvoyantLegacy you would know...

  • why cant my parents be like that ):

  • HAHAHA!!! Where's the Slayer soundtrack that turns into Badalamenti in a split-second?! HAAAAAA!

  • I hate this. The parents doesn't even asked their son properly, why did he steal money. They just caned him straight away, poor boy. Who da hell invented such a thing called cane huh? Anws, this scene reminded me of the bad memories I had with 'cane' :'( Maybe I should hide the cane, or rather throw it away, someday (:

  • @Lulluby97 But isn't the abuse part of the black comedy? I was laughing...

  • man dats sad

  • that´s really nice..

  • What does that piece of shit feel like now?

  • I love Pokemon

  • As many times as I watch this movie, I always, always cry this exact part! Lol.

  • cool, a japanese (i think i dont know sorry if any asian gets offend, i dont know why but its always the same) show that is not anime

  • @Gerardo203 heh, it's Chinese... and there's actually a lot of Japanese shows that aren't anime! South Korean, Taiwanese, Chinese, and Japanese all have some prty good shows available on youtube and around the internet.

Besides that this is actually a movie. So you were prty far off.

  • @shallwethen Actually, this is a Singaporean show. The reason why it's in Chinese is because a majority of Singaporeans (roughly 70%) are of Chinese origin, so most Singaporeans speak Chinese. You can see that some of the people in the movie are of Chinese origin but speak English with little knowledge of Chinese.

  • @Tetraglot ohhh ohk I was a bit off too then.

  • Its in Chinese..

  • SPOILER ***********

I cried so badly, Serouisly, im not the guy who cries. But Why did Mr. lim have to die?!! (ChengCai dad) Thumbs up if you agree

  • @XiaoTyran cool story bro, no go kill yourself

  • @XiaoTyran

Why would it be funny? They're speaking Chinese, What would be funny is them, speaking Chinese and then saying that random word, "Card" in English.

it's perfectly normal for them to be saying "Ka". You most likely thought that they were saying it wrong.

  • @ClairvoyantLegacy Err...In chinese "card" is the same too you know...its pronounced as "Ka"...This is a Singaporean movie...so it is a mixture of language from Mandarin,Hokkien, and English~

  • @XxTyranxXMingHao they said pokemon car lol!

  • @XxTyranxXMingHao soooo who cares

  • i cried at this part..really...the acting is so perfect

  • Damn...i hated the cane when i was younger =( hehe....and also i had so many Pokemon cards =D

  • wat year the movie

  • peswen: google google google google google

  • Honestly, parental neglect is not a good thing. :(

  • thats so sad!

  • oh god this made me cry :( bad memories of my younger days and THE CANE...

  • The CANE is said to be for your own good -.-

    I broke mine

  • Well, my parents used to hit me. But I was in Taiwan of course. Now my parents dont do this to me anymore but whenever I watch this scene or the first or second movies, I would cry because So many people including me experienced this when we were little.

  • All I was saying is Americans have it too easy. All of you who do drugs and all that shit, you DO deserve a proper belting. In this situation, the child was neglected, and i do pity him. However, stealing wasn't the last resort, and he was fully aware of the consequences.

  • Dude, he was being neglected by his parents who wouldn't even spare an hour to watch their child's concert! That poor boy thought he had to pay his parents with MONEY!

  • cries

  • yeah... this and the first movie always brings tears to my eyes... it just connects so much with me... anyways, jack neo is a freakin' genius!!

  • i dont think stealing was a last resort

  • harsh parents.. huhuhu

  • Pretty nice

  • I agree with you, I dont know why people put -6 for you.

But for all you people out tehre there are different view out there.

I remember when I was small, my dad beat me with his leather belt every time i got any less then an A

Of course, back then I was in another country (Ukraine)

And I dont blame my parents.

In fact, I''m glad they beat me, taught me certain hardships hich i would have endured eventually. And sometimes, in certain situations, parents SHOULD hit their kids.

  • dont fuck here-this is just a movie, not real life

  • WHAT???

  • no matter how many times I watch this scene, it never fails to bring tears to my eyes.

  • :( so sad

  • i love this video....it is so touching...

  • SO SAD :(

  • two things, first of all, I saw the first one and second one, Iloved it. Second, my name is Maverick :O

    Literally my name IS maverick.
