  • Yes, that odd chord is Gm6 (relative to capo).

  • You're great!! And it would be soooo helpful if you would add strum patterns to all of your videos.

  • u don't look like seth rogen! :p

  • @pak0z21 haha i think most of them mean that I guess I talk like him at times? I don't know

  • I think the "wired G" is Gm6. And in the movie, sometimes he modify Gm6 to G(764477), and modify A7 to something like xx6469

  • aaaahhh!!!!this is exactly what I've been looking for!!! thank you so much!!!! :D

  • Another great video. Thanks so much. Any chance you can throw the strumming pattern up?

  • @par5eagles Thanks! Honestly though it's more difficult if I try and explain the pattern with ups and downs, especially by typing it out. What I do is listen to the song over and over and try like "air-strumming" to it. Focus only on the strumming pattern of the guitar on the track and you should get it :) live videos help too

  • Its a Gminoradd6

  • That odd G is just a B minor (Bm) because of the three notes B D F#.

"If you want me" chords: F#m Bm C# C#7

Thanks for teaching us this music. Muito, mas muito obrigado mesmo. Um grande abraço!

  • @samplermen Thanks man! And I'm always happy to do it

  • thanks a lot man! ;) I love this song... (Marketa sings it in such a heavenly manner.....!!!!!)

  • @DKRAVEL You're most welcome ;)

  • Can you tell me what the strumming patterns for the verse and the chorus are? Sorry I'm a guitar newbie :D

Great video by the way, I really appreciate that you're taking the time to figure out these songs for us "Once" and Swell Season fans.

  • thanks for the tut!

  • My tabbing software calls that chord "Daug5sus4add9" "Bb-5+6"...but if you do the theory it can easily just be called a Gm6...technically...

  • Wow! this is excellent! :D. Thanks so much! ^^

  • oh, you're sooo cute!! thanks for the tutorial...

  • well thank you, haha :)

  • bro, I just realise that if you would n´t show u´re face, u could pass as BRIAN POSEHN teaching how to play those cool songs jajjajajj

I mean no disrespect at all

Thank you again 4 sharing knowledge.

  • haha, i've never gotten that, but I can kinda see what you mean.

    none taken :)

    no prob

  • thanks mate!!... got it

with my girl in Europe, and I seeing ONCE now, almost died with that battery issue and soon after accomplishment, dammed headphons! more dammed lyrics!!

    snif GLUP

  • do u know where can i watch ONCE online? or download it?

  • dat movie was awsome marketa iglova and glen hansard are geniuses

    .......o yea nice tutorial

  • what would be AWESOME (for me anyway) is if you would play it and post that so I could sing with it.. hehe.

seriously though, this is a great tutorial.. I wish I could play the guitar.

  • I just might have to do that, but you would have to put it on youtube :)

  • Oh, absolutely! Are you serious? oh yay! I will definitely post the video of me singing it on youtube if you would do that! Thank you so much if you do.. I am sure I am not the only person that has been looking in vain for the karaoke version, and can't play guitar themselves.

  • I'll find some time later today to if I can. I'm going to NYC for a week tomorrow morning so I'll try to get it to you before then or at least record it before I leave.

  • the 'odd G" MIGHT be a Gsus2. I checked, I THINK that's what it is.

  • it's actually a Gm I've come to find out

  • Comment removed

  • searching from a chord book i found that this oddG may be an A#-5 /G or Bb-5/G

    hope that helps:/

  • Could never figure out that G variation haha, thanks a million, hopefully expect a cover soon on my page =)

  • Thank you sososo much for posting this.

  • looked like a modified g 13

  • yeah it's actually 3x0330 if you don't have a capo on. It's listed incorrectly as a Gm in the Hal Leonard book with Once sheet music. A Gm sounds kinda like it. Glen uses it in This Low during the chorus and in Once(the song at the end of the credits). I'll put those up sometime soon here.

  • Tallie 7487,

First off, I just wanted to thank you. It was a travesty nobody had properly put these songs up before you. I'm sure it took you a LONG time trying to figure all this out. But I can assure you, it's much appreciated.

Also, one thing about your chord charting. When you have a capo on any fret, you should list the chords as if relative to the capo. So, that Dm should be the regular XX0231, just relative to the capo on fret 4. B/c obviously, you can't play a Dm behind the capo.

  • Thank you so much for all that you said. I really appreciate it and am glad you found the video useful. Thanks for t he advice as well. have a good one :)

  • wow.. this is exactly what I was looking for. Wish me luck !

  • I better see a cover online soon :) Glad I was able to help. Lemme know how it goes and if there's anything else I can do.

    Jason

  • A sugestion, you have to talk slowly when you're saying the chords or put in the down-barre the position of the fingers (like Dm - xx0231)

  • That's a great idea! I'll do that from now. I don't know why I didn't think of that before. Thanks Alterego :)
