  • Full of win!!!

  • Sir Patrick now.

  • You may now call him "Sir Patrick Stewart" because he's going to be knighted soon

  • awesome lol

  • If you gave this anything less than five stars, you need to reassess your whole life.

  • Is there anything he can't turn into must-see-teevee?

  • Proof that just because it's children's television, it doesn't HAVE to be painfully stupid. *lol*

  • wow!!!!

  • He pronounced "zounds" correctly!

  • stewart is god. awesome

  • Stewart's so awesome, it doesn't matter if this is good acting or not.

And, did Hamlet really kiss the skull?

  • This is awesome. I wish Patrick did more theater productions for television. For Stewart fans, you should check out his Captain Ahab in Moby Dick.

  • E-PIC.

  • Too awesome or just awesome,

    that is the question.

  • Ain't this bout a "B"?

  • Very clever way of teaching children about the letter whilst also bringing some humour into it to entertain their parents as well. Very well thought out and the way Patrick acts it out is hilarious. This was always one of the best programmes for early years education.

  • Patrick Stewart... quite possibly the best acter ever.

  • how long ago was this made?

  • What a class act! I believe I remember watching this when I was a kid.

I must say I'm glad to see he wasn't acting as one of those awful, cockney grave diggers.

  • I've learned so much today...

  • Aye, 'tis a B!

  • "If begineth be a word." lol

  • omg, hahahaha

  • And this is why he's awesome!

  • I wish my thoughts came to me in the sound of Patrick Stewart's voice.

  • "Zounds! The words 'beginneth' beginneth with B!... if beginneth be a word!"

    ...for the win!

  • Should I talk about /b/?

  • if only picard taught reading at an earlier part of his starfleet career.

  • Cute lol

  • Epic

  • If B from Another Note likes this, does that N (Near from DeathNote) fanboys "D"(Ole yellow eyes) from TNG? i was wondering this on capslock<3...XD...yah know how he loves bots...and maybe even has centerfolds of Lal, 7of9, Sorayama's bots, DOLLS (from a manga), V-ger chic, etc, under his bed...XD

  • man he's good

  • exactly how old is this? how old is patrick stuart? i'm starting to wonder if he was born bald...um, i mean....uh you know what i mean.

i've never seen anything where he looked young

  • patrick will always be in my top 5 favorite actors.

  • "If begineth be a word."

    Patrick Stewart FTW! Love him!

  • God, I love that man! hahaha

  • I'm sure this was done for some kid's show

  • This is higher quality acting than you find on tv today =-/

  • Ah...Professor Charles Xavier on Sesame Street talking Shakespeare with the letter B...can it get better than this? Honestly?

  • his voice is amazing

  • Sweet. Hamlet, Patrick Stewart, and Sesame Street. I think I'm experiencing an awesome overload.

  • I love culture.

  • i bet this act was totally natural to him...he was simply drawing from his past experience as a Shakespearean actor :D

  • Lolz.

  • He must have been loaded to the gills when they shot this. I think it would be the only way he could do it.

  • wow.. superb acting.. im stealing that for a audition

  • Whenever I see this man, I can only think of his appearance in 'Extras' where he has an obvious obsession for naked women.: all due to Ricky Gervais...

  • fuk megan fox yo, this patty stew be straight nigga leapin on shit!!!

  • This is why you dont mess with Patrick Stewart!

Him, Kahn and Leonard Nimoy (Who I met!)

  • Captain Picard is a man of all centuries and many talents; it is an honor that he was able to participate in the forging of 20th century minds. Indeed, well performed, and yes, STANDING OVATION.

  • i use epic to describe many a things. BUT THIS, is truly, EPIC.

  • wow another legendary performance by patrick stewart.

  • Patrick stewart is the man

  • I love this video. :)

  • PACARD 2012!!!

  • B, or not a B, that is the question. Whether tis the second letter of the alphabet, or some other merry letter. B, or not a B...

  • XDDD He kissed it.

    Begineth!!

  • When was that?^^

  • My soul is NOT full of discord and dismay. (Another parody of "Hamlet", Act IV, Scene I, Line XLV)

  • Hahahah, this is so funny!! Patrick stewart has such a glorious voice, tonsils of god...

  • The kiss was great. There'd be a line if Patrick was in a kissing booth for charity!

  • Holy crap I remember this from a long time ago and thinking "what the hell?" but now that I know who patrick stewart is.... this... is... EPIC!!!

  • indeed, that is the question mister stewart

  • what is with Stewart and Shakespierre?

  • Happy Birthday Mr Stewart

  • funny ty for posting

  • Zounds!

  • This is what I used to love about old Sesame Street, it treated kids like thinking individuals, not idiotic cash cows.

  • Can't think of a better thing to raise children on than Captain Picard!

  • Computer - End Program Picard-B.

  • when was this made

  • so cool pat !!!

  • He is such an awesome actor!

  • Awesome

  • Goodnight sweet /b/

  • what else does Patrick Stewart play in??!!

  • ...star trek?

  • Mac Beth

  • Star Trek the next generation

  • from the top of my head. Robin Hood Men in tights, X-men, Star Trek:TNG, and sometimes family guy

  • As far as I know he is a professional shakespear-actor, beside his role in Star Trek.

  • Everything

  • Star Trek TNG.

  • startrek the next generation, x-men 1,2,3,origins....i think origins anyway

  • Gee, I dunno. Star Trek, maybe? X-Men? Nah...

  • "Alas, poor Cookie Monster, I knew thee."

  • wtf is /B/?

  • The second letter of the alphabet.

  • .....the rules

  • n00b

  • what is /b/?

    /b/aby don't hurt me

    don't hurt me

    no more

  • Early Sesame Street was so fantastic. I always thought of it as one of the most important things my kids did. And it was clips like this that made it so worthwhile to me.

  • Holy crap !!!

So Patrick Stewart was actually on sesame streat ???

    what a revalation !

  • Now its just Elmo nonsense with a lot of jumping and lively colors. While there is some learning going on in the program, i think it is less than before.

  • So were R2 D2 and C 3PO.

I guess the guys who ran Sesame Street at the time were equal oppurtunity Sci-Fi fans.

  • STANDING OVATION!

  • Picard On Sesame Street!

  • Sup /b/

  • this is epic as hell!

  • Well he does make a good teacher as well as being a great actor

  • Good play on Patrick's theater background

  • Christ. I'm not even stoned, and this is the sweetest thing ever.

  • He does that so well! Perfectly straight, but you can tell he's loving it.

  • This is making me laugh far too much

  • my hero!

  • Win.

  • I LOVE CAPTAIN PICARD!!! not more that Worf though!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • great.

  • /B/tards will love this.

    Good night sweet prince!

    LOL!

  • I want to see him do the letter Q.

    "DAMMIT, Q!!"

  • B is for Borg, resistance was not futile.

  • Love it, and yes, you have to have read Shakespeare to get all the references. Shakespeare (or the letter B) was never sexier!

  • Oh how I so agree!! Patrick brings Shakespeare to the letters with class!!

  • Bravo!! Bravo!!!

  • You will always be my favorite star trek captain

  • yes!!!!

  • And alot of other peoples too, including myself xD

    What a guy =)

  • lol...i think aq little too dramatic for young uns!! lol..ace, nonetheless!

  • "If beginneth be a word"..... ROFLMFAO

  • So THAT'S why I've loved Hamlet since the age of 3

  • well patrick stweart is a shakesperean actor by trade

  • Yhea then he sold out to some damn star trek franchise

  • Hey! He was really good in Next Generation! I think he was one of the best actors in the show!

  • sweet /b/

  • Holy crap, how OLD is this video? This is GREAT stuff! I wonder if even HE remembers this one. This would be great to snap up and surprise him with at one of his convention appearances.

  • I dare ya to do it!

  • ...the hell?

  • I can just imagine Picard abusing the Holodeck to do stuff like this. XD

  • Who on earth RIGHTS this stuff anyways? Sweet mother of pearl!

  • Apparently you should have watched more of it; then you might have known to use the word "WRITE" instead of "RIGHT."

  • That's: W-R-I-T-E-S. Elmo can out-spell you, and he's supposedly only 3 or 4!

Patrick Stewart is a Shakespearean trained actor, and if you've ever seen Hamlet's famous soliloquy, the parody is all the funnier here.

  • It's a parody of Hamlet, and very well done at that.

  • Trollin'

  • The accent is all wrong, compared to real elizabethan English.

  • lol

  • 'TIS "B"!!!!!

  • LOL

  • EPIC PACARD

  • not a /b/ here.

but you /b/'s are still pritty sweet. :3

    i <3 u guys.

although the only straight part of you is most definitely not your back. . .

  • My nuts just ripped from my /b/ody.

  • Yes

  • omg CP on /b/!

  • Yeah! Captain Picard on Sesame Street! Tell you what!

  • mmmmm sweeet B

  • He is king.

    THERE ARE 5 LIGHTS?!

  • Love Patrick Stewart!

Im from Orange and Fearne Cotton interviewed him for us on the Red Carpet, if you search for bafta 2009 patrick stewart interview with fearne cotton you'll find it!

  • The best part about this is that Patrick Stewart was a Shakespearian actor in his beginnings as an actor.

    He's just so endearing.

  • aw, sweet sweet B

  • Is there anything Patrick Stewart has done that is not Made of Awesome?

Maybe he should've done something on counting lights... "THERE ARE FOUR LIGHTS!!!!"

  • No, there are five!

    *SHOCK*

  • Yes. A Legend.

  • He's so awesome. He is such a great actor.

  • He loves that B

  • Patrick Stewart = EPIC.

  • This man is the ultimate thing in creation.

  • Legend.

  • To /b/ or not to /b/?

  • ... pure, sheer awesomeness. Hysterical. My only concern is, should he really be using a strong oath such as "Zounds" in front of the kids? Although admittedly, by the time they've looked up what it means they'll probably be old enough to use it.

  • isn't he saying zoons?

  • "isn't he saying zoons?"

Actually, he's saying "zounds" (pronounced zoonds, though). It's an old fashioned contraction for the words "God's wounds." It could probably be written as "z'ounds" as well.

  • I love Patrick Stewart - his US career has had so much "hell, sure I'll go there" stuff in it - I'd never seen this when it originally aired, it's darling.

  • fantastic!!

  • two bumps in the front. i know two bumps that also start with B ;)

  • rsbandbj1j2j3,

I didn't get that until this comment, cheers! lol
