  • mucho gusto,Cosmicsound

  • @Spazziod100 et al, yes if course, what I meant was original effects.... :)

  • :) ♪♪♪♫ MuY Buenaaa MusiCaaa Un sALUDO PARA mI papiono

  • Cowley was ahead of his time in music even in the 80s. Thanks for sharing! May he R.I.P.

  • Excellent and Unforgettable

  • A complete "more" complete list of techno/ synth pioneers would have to include this guy, Cowley who really is #1, Bobby "O" Orlando, Gino Soccio, Giorgio Moroder, and we can't forget the band Kraftwerk. There are others to be sure but in my humble opinion these are thee masters.

  • this was when megatron man was born. -djQ

  • Recorded a few weeks before dying of AIDS .............

  • The N 1

  • Bobby O actually made the DIVINE singles check out his best of cds vol. 1 & 2 u might even find the early Pet Shop Boys....West End Girls....

  • I FINALLY GET TO SEE A PICTURE OF PATRICK. HE WAS A PIONER ON USING SYNTHISIZERS FOR MUSIC. PROGRAMING ALL HIS SOUNDS. HIM AND

GEORGIO MORODER. BOBBY O REALLY RIPED OFF DIVINE FOR HER SINGLES LOVE, POLYESTER

  • Only 1 man has come close to Patrick Cowley & that's the other danceman Bobby 'O'.

Great songs you never got tired of not like the rubbish I hear today which all sounds the same. Re: Keisha/Black Eyed Peas.Plus it's on vinyl. 80's Hi-Nrg rules. Plus had to buy my vinyl on import back in the day cause I live in Australia, can't imagine how big it was in US/Europe/South America. Cheers!

  • With this song I tested my subwoofers and speakers in my car and the result was: both 15inch woofers totally busted! And that was in the 1982! He knew how to make low bass to work!!!

  • This brings a lot of memories. He was so talented.

  • This is the best music of the pioneer history of Patrick CowleyTechno Music Amazig already in the 1979 The Best Amazing Congratulation :::::::: Dj Cabelo ::::: From BRAZIL>>> I lived in that time<<<

  • EN VERDAD UN GENIO DE LA COMPOSICION DE MUSICA EN SINTETIZADOR., QUE LO LANZA COMO PIONERO EN EL USO DE ESTE INSTRUMENTO PARA EL GENERO DE MUSICA ENERGY Y DISCO. CON SEGUIDORES COMO SYLVESTER, LO VERDE Y PAUL PARKER, TODOS ICONOS DE ESTA MARAVILLOSA ETAPA DE LA MUSICA.

CABE DECIR QUE EN MEXICO PÒCOS SON LOS QUE LE RECUERDAN, PERO GRACIAS A QUIEN SUBIO ESTE DISCO, NOS PERMITE EN FORMA MUY MODESTA RENDIRLE HOMENAJE POR SU GRAN APORTACION, A ESTE GENIO DE LA MUSICA (Patrick Cowley).

  • "where classic disco still live's" ... hmmm ... Cowley's still life, or ... :D

Anyway, Cowley disappeared way too soon ...

  • Have I said it after? Patrick Cowley was a graet chingonería in the electrodisco music. Un dotado, un genio, un visionario, in a few words: the best en este bisne.

Los dioses de la música lo tengan en Santa Gloria a pesar de cometer ese pecado de ser like he was in dangerous time for the AIDS.

  • Doug (Mary) Bryson, I sure do miss you, man!!! What music we had!!!

  • ce l'hoooooooooooooo

  • prosto tazi muzika e old i njma koi da j oceni menove,en gurles:)))))

  • Not my cup o tea to be honest. But hey ho. Each to their own. I'm more an Arthur Baker Breakers Revenge man.

  • GOD this is Camp!!!

  • @TheMrLusk It is, but its fantastic isnt it?One of my favourites of all time without a doubt.

  • his music was awsome. i had great time listening to his songs. RIP.

  • what a great talent patrick was i wasn't even born until 1991 but i have always loved disco music great listening music its awful that he was a early victim to aids he was a good man from what i hear this album was actually done by patrick to explain how he was feeling from his progressing HIV infection but im sure patrick is making quality disco albums in heaven =] R.I.P patrick cowley 1950-1982

  • Patrick Cowley e Gino Soccio: indimenticabili personaggi che mi hanno introdotto nella electronic dance . Grandi! Non vi dimenticherò mai. Grazie di tutto

  • Goddamn, you all have no idea how much I adore this song. It makes me go cold all over and shivers down my spine. Ethereal, timeless, there arent enough superlatives to describe this song. All I can say is when Patrick Cowley passed away, one of music's true geniuses and innovators was lost forever:(

  • @ralucagymnast Had to split this; 500 character limit sucks. Two things surprise me about this song: one is that nobody has sampled it in recent years(which, is a good thing really, I would hate it to become part of "modern" music, it should be given the reverence it deserves, and two, there have been so few views for this magnificent piece of music.

  • Yes I know... samples is the wrong word! I meant the similar synth effects which he created to build such awesome productions...

  • @JonniePolyester they're not synth effects..

  • samples..?

  • Fantastic stuff, Mr Cowley reprises the brilliant samples he used to such great effect in his remix of Donna Summers I feel love

  • These are not samples. Patrick Cowley developed, designed, programmed and build just about everything he did himself.

  • @JonniePolyester

What samples? Everything you hear is from analog synths here. Sampling didn't really exist until later.

  • @SPAZZOID100 maybe the drum machine had some 8 bit, lo-fi samples. but you're dead right, the rest was made on a Prophet-V

  • @od8086 It's a real live drummer, check out Megatron Man to hear Cowley use a drum machine.

  • @MadokaLCX okay, I believe it :) maybe Cowley plays the drums himself. He played drums for years, on stage too.

  • @JonniePolyester

    Samples?

  • awesome song
