Let me tell you, The FNP handguns are going to blow up soon. I just picked up an FNP-45cal in stainless steel(brushed), 14 round mag cap, comes with 3 stainless mags, a holster and some mag carry clips for your belt, and ear protection! all for under 535 bucks after tax. Gun fires amazing, felt recoild with 45 cal is very low on this pistol. Has a nice rail up front for lasers or lights. Serious competion for HK with the FNP series.

Have you seen the FNP 45 military yet?

That is one sweet pistol. On top of the slide, there is a removable panel and you can place a Trijicon Docter Optic red dot that matches/ aligns with the tritium night sites that are slightly raised. True enough.

I stil think that FNH is a better company overall. Not only have they been very pro-American (they supply around 80-90% of our small arms, their history with John Browning, they hire Americans on site etc), but they are supportive of their fanbase too.

For example, they've provided PS90's, FS2000's, SCARs etc that are almost direct copies of the real thing (other than full auto), just because the fans asked. HK can't even be bothered to make a decent G36 sporter.

well, im not an american, but isee what you mean. It seems that HK is very focused on millitary-only sales. They would rather sell several thousand weapons to the millitary, in one sale, then several thousand to civies, in several thousand sales.

Seems that way. Personally I think FN has a better business model, because selling wholesale necessitates wholesale prices, whereas selling to individuals means you can charge a higher price and make more money in the long run. Customer service may make the difference though. Both companies are doing pretty well so it's hard to tell which is better. It's like you said, personal preference.

I'm not a big fan of FN weapons, except for two of them, one which I carried for 12 years as an MP in the Army.

The M249 SAW and the M240B machine gun.

THe P90 SMG is pretty impressive, considering the capabilities of the 5.7mm round, capable of going through body armor (military ammo only).

Oh and fludblud just for your info. I have been trained by the SAS, both New Zealand and British, in hostage rescue. They are very high speed. Difference is Britain does let the politions make combat "rules of engagment".
