If I'm not mistaken, "chant" is just French for song, which is an acceptable (if not wholly adequate) classification. And anyway, homophonic compositions in dance-rhythms like this are known as "balletti." Gastoldi (the composer of "Amor Vittorioso") singlehandedly invented this genre, and his balletti were extremely popular (especially in England, where Thomas Morley imitated and pirated the words and music for his own compositions).
Sorry but I must disagree. This is definitely NOT a madrigal, but a ballet. Please beware the equation reinassance = slow tempo and emotional singing.... This a witty genre focused on feasts and amusement. It' s well interpreted like this.
Not every poliphonic piece from XVI century must be a madrigal and sung the like...
It is for five voices, but it sounds pretty good the way it is. It is a little fast, and some of the words are getting lost, but their balance is pretty good.
Love this interpretation! :D Great sound! :D

Again - this is a good group - and you have a nice sound, though you must still work toward betterment.
But again - really now - the hand-wave direction is not necessary. It's distracting.
(listening now) - I really like this group!!! ( :
But - learn to LISTEN to each other - TRUST - MOVE toGETHER in your souls, hearts, minds, and musical progressive-ness.
You don't need a hand-wave direction - just trust me.
You do quite well -
be...
better.
