From wut I remember, india gave da land designated by ur founder, to create pakistan. Pakistan seemed to be greedy 4 more land, and tried goin after northern india. I'm sure india wouldn't want to claim da land they gave u as part of dat peace treaty in 1947 or whenever. besidez, in da end, if they were 2 give pakis the moon, it wouldn't be sufficient enough.
Pakistan was not greedy for land grab, Kashmir was inhabited with muslims, and they wanted to be part of Pakistan, however India still went ahead to occupy the part of Kashmir, which is still under occupation. The Kashmiris living there still oppose the Indians. I hope that this conflict over Kashmir does resolve and Kashmiri people of the region can live in peace.
As for northern india, it was determined to be a void decision. from wut i remember, it was governed by a prince, and during partition the localz all wanted their own autonomy. There4, they did not choose any particular side. however, bein a muslim- majority area, pakiz wanted to rule over it.
As I said that Kashmiris were muslims, and they voiced there region to be seceded with Pakistan, however the prince governing was hindu that wanted to be with India. If you see the that Kashmiris were being forced to be with India, hence Pakistan took action to take over half of kashmir, unfortunately other part is still in India.
but overall, most muslimz in india,remained in india due to the opportunitiez that pakistan lackz. their livlihoodz are much better form wut i've heard and they are treated with equal dignity despite livin in a country where 81% of da population is Hindu! Pakistan did not at that time had any industry or economy, so it could be the reason that some muslims prefered to stay in india, that is y Pakistan had to start from scratch. Correction Daud Hussain grew up in Kuwait but he is of Iranian Baluchi Origin. Baluchis live in Eastern Iran and Western Pakistan.

My hope is that the people of Persian ancestry would keep their vigor, and elegance at the highest, and help each other as brothers and sisters. For Iranian outside the unfortunate- messed up country there is this chance to get back to our core values and be a model in humanities,and excellence for the rest of world. From wut I remember, india gave da land designated by ur founder, to create pakistan. Pakistan seemed to be greedy 4 more land, and tried goin after northern india. I'm sure india wouldn't want to claim da land they gave u as part of dat peace treaty in 1947 or whenever. besidez, in da end, if they were 2 give pakis the moon, it wouldn't be sufficient enough.

Pakistan was not greedy for land grab, Kashmir was inhabited with muslims, and they wanted to be part of Pakistan, however India still went ahead to occupy the part of Kashmir, which is still under occupation. The Kashmiris living there still oppose the Indians. I hope that this conflict over Kashmir does resolve and Kashmiri people of the region can live in peace.

As for northern india, it was determined to be a void decision. from wut i remember, it was governed by a prince, and during partition the localz all wanted their own autonomy. There4, they did not choose any particular side. however, bein a muslim- majority area, pakiz wanted to rule over it.

As I said that Kashmiris were muslims, and they voiced there region to be seceded with Pakistan, however the prince governing was hindu that wanted to be with India. If you see the that Kashmiris were being forced to be with India, hence Pakistan took action to take over half of kashmir, unfortunately other part is still in India.

when Pakistan was partitioned, it was mostly a barren land except only few cities that was somewhat developed. Pakistan did not at that time had any industry or economy, so it could be the reason that some muslims prefered to stay in india, that is y Pakistan had to start from scratch. Pakistan also have diversity of different ethnics, so I dont know wht u r saying there.

If I have not met an Indian muslim does not mean that I am not aware of the situation of the minorities in India. There is a lot of discrimination in india against muslims, christians, sikhs and even low caste hindus. There were riots by fanatic hindus that killed thousands of muslims, sikhs, christians only because of hate. I can also assure you that in Pakistan such magnitude riots in which large population people are killed never takes place

u r right that india has more diversity of ethnic population. After the partition, all the industries were left in india, so for india it was not very hard to function the country, whereas Pakistan was left with no industries, that can generate revenue and feed the nation. therefore Pakistan had to begin from the scratch and bulid up its economy.

Pakistanis supported the Ottomans during the time of despair. In Pakistan case, we have an enemy 10 times in size (India) that has attacked our existence for many years and continue to pose threat, so it was in the interest of Pakistan and its citizens to ensure our survival through any means, which included nuclear weapons.

yeah the relationship between the two nations have improved a lot, and i sincerely hope it stays that way, Bangladesh was very much different then us in culture, language, history therefore it led to the breakup from West Pakistan. India does have muslims, but it was their choice to stay there, however the condition of majority of muslims in india is not very prosperous at all.
