Tribute to Waylon Jennings

There is a fantastic interview on youtube with him and Johny Cash where they both talk about their addictions. Letterman I think. Reguardless, he was a fantastic performer. My question is, does anyone know his song "Rose in Paradise." I love that song and it has hardly been watched on youtube!

he will always be incredible... who cares if he drank or used drugs. he was one hell of a voice for country music.. and sad to say now days there is none. i like very few because NO ONE compares to the spirit of Mr. Jennings.

Waylon Jennings was not a drinker, he was a pill addict & cocaine addict in the day. Despite his past use of drugs, he was no doubt a force in music. He became a Legend By Doing Things His Way. In my personal opinion no artist has ever left such an impact on the music world.

And yes, he was an addict, but for the sake of his wife, his children, himself, and all other family and friends, he stopped before it got too out of hand. I will second your comment proudly, and I will also add that he was a wonderful man that loved his wife and children more than life itself. He was a great husband, father, and grandfather.

he had diabetes and he had to ave his leg removed poor waylon towards the end he must have suffered a lot

H suffered more than anyone will ever know, but he kept it to himself. It wasn't just diabetes that made it hard for him to walk/stand. He had an artery disease that caused the vains and arteries in his legs to become clogged and clotted. He went into many surgeries for it and had to cancel many dates because of it. Waylon fought the good long fight, but his death was untimely and we need him here now more than ever.

Right before Waylon died,he went into kidney failure and was on dialysis.Not much a life but he fought until the end!!

No, he never went into kidney failure, it was ganggrene on his leg, the infection that required removal of his left leg from the knee down. I've tore up this world inside and out researching Waylon, I know for a fact that he didn't have anything wrong with his kidneys.
