This thing looks like this AFTER the doc packed it? Hate to tell you, but when you have a bump that looks like this, bloody runny pus and purple in color and very painful, it is MRSA. More ppl have MRSA then ever before. Docs won't test for it unless you are in septic shock. The medication to treat MRSA is called vancomycin and is VERY costly. I am not doc, but I have had MRSA twice, both times had to got hospital. This infection is resistant to sulpha based antibiotics.

what you had possibly started out as an ingrown hair, but became a boil. Near the end, after removing the black scab, you see a white "thing" inside the wound that looks like the consistency of a tapeworm. This is the boil sack. If you don't remove it, you will get this problem here again. You have to dig the sack out. see videos of "boil removal".
