I just watched this ufc and that guy one his first fight but then lost the final. He only got into the final because Royce was injured and it was a walkover. The craziest thing is the guy he lost to in the final (in this video) was an alternate that didn't have to fight anyone but him in the final he won 60,000 fucking dollars. Those ufc fighters would fight like 3-4 fights in a row, most of the time they wouldn't even last til the final. Crazy times back then.

Fuck... Nothing like old school MMA. Love it. Brawlers like Howard, Hackney, Abbot.. While the 'science' of the sport has improved exponentially since the early/mid 90's, there is a lot to be said for the old guys who made their bones by just being tougher than a fucking bucket of rusted iron and hitting harder than a head-on collision with F250. Sorry to hear Howard's life went off the rails (5 year in prison?), but here's hoping he does his time, gets out and rebuilds. He is legend.
