Eckhart, Could you elaborate on ego versus healthy self-esteem?

i tired my whole life to have self-esteem, i finally realized one day that it wasn't going to work. just around that time of deep pain, my dad gave me his book the power of now. changed my life forever, feels like im living on a cloud interspersed with great amounts of easyness and satisfaction. ty

in my opinion self esteem is how much you value yourself, it's a relationship with yourself it's not being present in the now offcourse. self esteem is always directed inwards it's a win-win mindset but ego is always directed outwards it's a win-lose mindset.i think he mistaken self esteem with ego

The woman is right. If there were no people asking him questions he would be out of business. I do not understand how so many people can read his books and yet instead of going within for answers keep going to him. His message is clear: Your answers R all within.. The same message that has been around for centuries yet people still look to externals including teachers for answers. He is just a man like you and as long as you put him on a pedestal versus realizing this you R in dreamland

@onethot .You only know what you just said because it became aware to you via a teaching of some form. A certain level of awareness is required before your own inward insights can occurr. All ET is doing is helping you along the way by pointing you back to your own awareness / presence. Also, are you relying on egoic comparisons for your own self esteem? "I can look inwards better than you can, I am better than this woman who needs to ask questions". Gee,Now I'm identified with a mental position
