this rifle is the least favorite of all the 22's I own. It's just not accurate without dumping money into it. Gimme a savage bolt 22 over this gun any day of the week.
@huntingfreak1230 as fast as any .22lr, its not an airgun which have varying fps, this is a real gun that depends on the gunpowder in side the shell to propel it

Is that a butler creek magazine? I have the same one and it jams every shot, either its defective or just a piece of shit. I just bought my 10/22, so im not very familar with after market magazines. Do you have any brand recomendations, steel lip or not... etc. Thanks
@TheGreatFlyFisher I second zboyco. My steel lip butler creek is AWESOME, while the plastic lipped ones only last a little while. IMO, the plastic lipped mags are not worth the money, as a steel lipped butler creek can be had for $18-$20.
@TheGreatFlyFisher I had the same problem with Butler Creek mags...ftf at least every third shot if not more often. Found some Shooter's Ridge mags for $10 at the pawnshop and they have run flawlessly over 1,000 rounds. Also the new Ruger 25-shot mags fit nice, have steel feedlips, and are meant to be taken apart and cleaned when necessary. More expensive, but again, I have yet to have a malfunction.

i had a 1022... it was great till i put a cheapass bsa red dot scope on it and those 4 screws stripped out of that paper thin alloy reciever and fell right off onto the ground... after a whole LOT of loctight, i sold that bitch back to the gun shop... GREAT fun little guns, i just wish they didnt make them so cheap the scope rail will fall off... vorquartsen makes a verision of this with an improved upper reciever with a built in picany rail that eliminates the issue i had. then u got a fun gun.
@zboyco lol the stainless models, the barrel is stainless, but the alloy reciever is just painted gray... which i wiped right off with some solvent before i realized i did it... i was like whats all this gray stuff on my rag... DOH!
