Another Faust, Promotional Short

My cousin bought this book from Half Price Books (it was signed, too!) and I borrowed it. I'm fairly unfamiliar of the Fuast legend (I've heard of it, but didn't know most of the details), but it's a very interesting book. I'm going to keep reading it while she's not looking. :)

I helped write the music for this trailer, but have never been interested enough to actually read the book lol. To answer a few questions though, the publishing company that this book belongs to is Candlewick Press. They are responsible for putting together the trailer, the photo shoot for it and everything else really. Funny fact, the models used in the trailer are mostly 14-16 years old. Candlewick press also publishes the Where's Waldo books and have been based out of Boston for a long time.

although this book is NOTHING like twilight the characters look like those from twilight. bice reminds me of bella, belle reminds me of rosalie (not really), christain reminds me of edward, valentin reminds me of Jasper, and victoris reminds me of Alice. this is only by appearance not by personality

What is really really silly is how could Christian and Bice not know what was going on? They all had the last name of "FAUST" for God's sake! If someone gives you weird gifts and changes your name to Faust what would you figure was going on? DUH? Especially as Bice is supposedly smart. You would have to be an idiot.

That is the most blah book I have read. There is no point to the plot at all. You know exactly what the governess is from the word "faust" and there is no more to it. The message is preachy. The book is like a jewish mother guilt tripping you to not be too concerned with being pretty and popular. It ends exactly how you think it will after the first two chapters. The attempts to portray history from Shakespeare to Julius Caesar are pathetic and wrong. Save your money.

Belle doesn't have powers .... it's more like a gift. She sold her soul to Vileroy to be extremely beautiful and exchanged her appearance to Vileroy's look when she was younger. However @ the end Vileroy actually just gave her a mask or "coat" and her actual body inside is rotting which explains the stench she has.
