Some have viruses and spyware, others are corrupted, while others don't even get pass installation phase. If I invest a pile of time and money developing a piece of software, I have an asset. I can sell that asset to a distributor and recoup my investment. A game does NOT have to cost 10 millions. Counterstrike was freeware... It costed NOTHING to make and today its one of the largest and best known games there is out there. Moddb is full of freeware thats costed NOTHING to make. Still many of the free mods are WAY better than new shitgames from EA and other gamecompanies that dont know shit about good games.
Making a copy of something is NOT stealing since the original file is still there. When u steal something its not there anymore.

If I invest a pile of time and money developing a piece of software, I have an asset. I can sell that asset to a distributor and recoup my investment. But, if Pirate Bay steals it and distributes for free (making a ton with ads,) no distributor will touch it. My asset is diminished. The owner gets seriously hurt.

Unlike the hundreds of legitimate Shareware sites, I can do nothing about this. Pirate sites are the one of the worst methods of distribution immaginable. Legitimate sites provide the ability to authors to ensure that correct versions are available.

The institution also talk about when people are free we get new idees, Orginastion comes up like banks !, rules how we can build a perfect society , when you got controlled market ore a controlled Country the idees will fall part, just fucking look what happend with rome, portugal,spain and how USA backstabbed UK under 70, China is a controlled country they will never create things caouse they only copy thats why they will be 10 step behind Europe and USA.

1. Pirate Bay made millions. The court audiited their books. That's why the fines were so high. Why would you believe convicted criminals?
2. Millions of people drive drunk. Does that make it OK?
3. Piracy destroys competition. How can you compete when someone steals all your work and gives it away? I am an indie with 8 products that took years to create. TPB steals it and thousands of others, has zero development costs, and makes money on ads becuase they have thousands of stolen content.

We are in same page thats wrong that people is downloding free. But with the new technology "Bittorent" you Will never be able to change it you can influence it Like, When people is paying there bills for internet they all pay 20-30 Euro extra for downloding and that will be LOTS of money and those money goes for like hollywood, to try to make Laws and force people to do something that they will never do its so FUCKING stupid especially when you got at Least 100 millions people around the world.

Sorry, I don't understand your point. Hollywood gets ZERO money from I'Net connection fees. When you steal works that costs massive amounts of money to create, the creators get nothing. Why would they continue? How can they pay their workers?
Why is it "stupid" to try to get people to obey the rights of other people? Yes, there will always be drunk drivers that threaten our chlidren's lives. But, should we just give in and make drunk driving, or stealing, legal?

Now let's look at the effect:
If I invest a pile of time and money developing a piece of software, I have an asset. I can sell that asset to a distributor and recoup my investment. But, if Pirate Bay steals it and distributes for free (making a ton with ads,) no distributor will touch it. My asset is diminished. The owner gets seriously hurt.
Piracy is stealing by definition and causes massive harm to millions of workers. Those that believe no harm occurs have no concept of reality.

NO. learn economics and stop repeating this rubbish. the price of something is what someone will pay. value isn't automatically conferred by you investing time and money. if you spend years building a house of cards and it blows over, nothing has been lost. adapt to the new economic model and stop whining

Oh don't get me started on google! I can't use them as a search engine anymore. Anytime I try to look something up all they do is send me pages after pages of torrent sites, its become useless to use google anymore!
