D: I just bought one yesterday (first one) and he seems really scared but all I've been doing is talking softly and trying to comfort him. I had to take him out to clean his cage and he was trying to fly away.. He's untamed and I don't know when I'm supposed to do things with him..

I just got one yesterday too! :) About taming it, you should really watch a lot of videos of tips on how to tame your cockatiel and in google or something, type in "taming a Cockatiel" and you should get some really good info. Good luck! :)
