@casablancavic the keys to a cube that doesn't lock up: 1) It's not Rubik's brand. 2) It's DIY, so you can adjust its tension. 3) It's tolerant to mis-alignment. What's misalignment? 0:16 is a good example. The side closest to him is way off, but when he turns another side, it snaps into place. I would suggest a Ling Yun III or a GuHong.

Sorry can someone tell me if there is rules to how far you complete the cube? Cause on that last solve, one of the sides was pretty badly out of line even though the cube was complete. I would have thought the judges would have been hell strict on that kind of shit.

Theres an angle allowance, I can't remember the exact angle, though, if you stop the solve just 1 turn off its counted as a +2 seconds to your time.

@ryanklang - It's not a pattern, hahaha. It's called the Fridrich Method. Just search it on you tube, you'll find a million tutorials for the first 2 layers (F2L). The last layer (OLL and PLL) you'll have to search separately. They usually have separate videos.

@anupriyox Lol cross in 0,25 sec? Its on average 6-7 moves, so that would be 25tps and that are not practiced turns like in a Oll/Pll. If you can get a cross that fast you can solve a cube sub 3 for sure
