The kid section made me face palm. Did they really need a role THAT young and inexperienced for this film? Every OTHER movie uses at least a kid in their teens. Take Wonka and the chocolate factory as an example or even a disney movie.

I am a HUGE Star Wars fan who loves all 6 films. The prequels are not my favorites, but I still have a passion for them. I actually think Jake Lloyd did a fantastic job! Jar Jar makes me laugh and I really love that character. In my opinion, Star Wars fans would at least appreciate the prequels if they don't love them.

I accepte Jar Jar , i find it great to have a goofy character that dont fit at all with the jedi because he is very useless and thats the point of the character. The Charlie Chapelin of the science fiction. And the gungan species where well made. Their world was really amasing to see.

Ep III was the best out of the prequels but it wasn't without its flaws. Some bad acting and some effects weren't very good (like when Anakin jumped out of the elevator). The CGI was at its best in this film but overall I thought this was just good, not great or amazing...just good, like Ep V.
The best films in order are: Ep V, Ep III, Ep II, Ep VI, Ep I, Ep IV. That's MY list and MY opinions, i'm not speaking for everyone so there's nothing to complain about.

So if we brought back a present-day DVD of TPM in the time machine with us, it would be preserved even if we rendered the film very different. So we'd be alright. When we return we might find our lives very different. But sacrifice is worthy for the greatest film series in all of cinema history!
Maul needed more screen time. Maybe JJB could somehow be made into a decent character, though I doubt it.

@TheReilly8 Agreed. I actually enjoyed Crystal Skull for Ford's wonderful reprisal of Indy. No, it wasn't as good as Raiders (I'm not blind), but I'm sure Spielberg's Lincoln film (which seems to finally be underway with Day-Lewis in the title role) will make us forgive & forget
@prlwctd I enjoyed Crystal Skull until they brought in Aliens. I didn't think that fit in well since all the other things he was looking for were religious artifacts. I never held Ford or Spielberg responsible for Indy 4, only George because if you watch the behind the scenes stuff, you will learn that the Aliens were George Lucas's idea. I am actually really looking forward to the Lincoln movie with Day Lewis

I find it funny how every thinks the originals are perfect films. I personally don't. I found Ep IV so boring I fell and I wasn't even tired. Ep V was random, had
(like the rest of the films, but its the best and my favorite in the OT) cheesy acting. Ep VI had worse special effects than Ep IV and Luke was far too cocky in that it got on my nerves. He was a padawan at 21 and it only took him a year to become jedi knight...yeah right. And he beat one of the most powerful sith...

@TapasBarAmsterdam Well I guess a few minor changes after some time travel-assisted alteration to the movie and it would have been better. Nix JJB, get a different actor to play Anakin - keep Natalie Portman but give her some different direction. She definitely stays.

to me Annakin should have been introduced to us at a later age, then him not being able to put boundaries to the use of the force would even make more sense, and we would be spared to see him ''accidentally'' getting everything right, and the final battle is a joke, JJB goofyness aside, 5 seconds of any LOTR battle carry more emotion than every prequel Battle..every one of them has a tasteless joke in

Well, I'd like to take a tour of the 1990s anyway, hopefully I can get the DeLorean fixed and then I'll need a team to help me delicately alter the details of TPM without screwing the timeline too badly. Make some suggestions to Lucas, discreetly arrange for Jake Lloyd to get a different job in 1997, alter Natalie's dialogue and get Ahmed Best arrested for jaywalking during the auditions for Jar Jar, then make the character relevant and compelling.

@TapasBarAmsterdam My theory of time travel is 'that which travels is preserved'. So if we brought back a present-day DVD of TPM in the time machine with us, it would be preserved even if we rendered the film very different. So we'd be alright. When we return we might find our lives very different. But sacrifice is worthy for the greatest film series in all of cinema history!
Maul needed more screen time. Maybe JJB could somehow be made into a decent character, though I doubt it.

I dont rly know what facinates me so much about watching behind the scenes on Good consepts turned bad movies. Like The phantom Mecase and The last airbender.
Guess it's just interesting watching it just to see if the people knew back then how bad it was going to become... I wich we could have gotten thinking bubles over peoples head that stated what they were thinking as lukas japped on about jar jar.

@TheReilly8 Agreed. I actually enjoyed Crystal Skull for Ford's wonderful reprisal of Indy. No, it wasn't as good as Raiders (I'm not blind), but I'm sure Spielberg's Lincoln film (which seems to finally be underway with Day-Lewis in the title role) will make us forgive & forget

@prlwctd I enjoyed Crystal Skull until they brought in Aliens. I didn't think that fit in well since all the other things he was looking for were religious artifacts. I never held Ford or Spielberg responsible for Indy 4, only George because if you watch the behind the scenes stuff, you will learn that the Aliens were George Lucas's idea. I am actually really looking forward to the Lincoln movie with Day Lewis

You can't help but feel sorry for jake, (yes he was a bad actor but he was like 9) he had no idea that this movie would ruin his life and would have him universally hated by an entire fandom.
