I don't know. We're in different parts of the world, (apparently) but in Canada it isn't like that. Maybe because a number that does know that they're here on refugee status? Singlaese and tamils get along here just fine, I personally have two singalese friends. Tamils even have their own culture here (clothing style, music, etc.), quite different then tamil community anywhere else, where it takes advantage of the freedoms here. You can't feel discriminated and do the things i said above.
