It's a global track rule. If there's an incident, it makes cleanup faster and safer. Keeps all the sharp bits of glass and plastic together. Takes about 3 minutes unless you want to trim off the extra pieces and make it look pretty for the track photographer.

Absolutely full face. Also full coverage protective gear. If we can see skin, then you won't be riding. The good news is we have full rental of gear, motorcycles, boots, gloves, the works... if you need it.

depends on the state, but in Arizona where I live, I believe its actually the same as it would be with a car or a truck. I'm so excited, I'm definintely going to look into it further, although I know if my dad found out he might just kill me. =D

I live in San Diego, and I am starting my class in two weeks, with my mom! I wish there were something like that here for me. It would make us so much more comfortable and confident. I really want to learn to ride well, it's the safest thing to do!

LilysRebirth, you can put lowering links on any bike you get. Can lower 1" - 1.5" or so. Easy modification on Kawi's. Boots good idea to always wear when riding. Not too much of a heel, and remember you have to shift with the left, so no platforms (LOL!).

You could go that route, however you have to consider how it is going to affect the bikes handling. A better option would be to just shave the seat, and possibly get smaller tires. That should be enough. Of course the absolute best way is to just learn to deal with it. You should never really have to put both feet on the ground anyway.

You are required to tape over headlights, mirrors, turn signals, etc. It is a safety thing.

to actually answer your question, instead of state the obvious, it's so that if you should lay your bike down and break tail lights/headlights/mirrors, they don't shatter al overthe track and cause probs for other drivers.

On a TV show about driving accidents, I saw a small Asian woman rider. She had a camera mounted to her rocket to provide proof as to what happened in a riding accident. She was quite small! And she was a very good rider. If someone that small can, you can too! I am 5'7 and 120 lbs and I am signed up to take a course! We just might not wanna drive anything bigger than a 600 or 900. :oP

The track days i've been to everyone has been mega helpful. I imagine if you're a girl you'll get even more help! I think these all female days are a good idea, some of these girls would never do a mixed track day... The more girls on bikes the better and if all-female days are needed to get them started then i've got no complaints. See you on the track.

Why did they cover up the lights?

There are really two reasons. The first is to reduce distractions to the other riders. Brake lights and mistakenly hit turn signals and really throw people off. The second reason is if someone should slip from their scooter, the tape minimizes the clean up and keeps the sharp bits together. Have you been to our website? womensridingschool(dotcom)
