I tried Selmer, Yamaha, Yanagisawa....This one is the best sounding of all. It is so warm!! Yanagisawa is my second choice. It sounds nice but it's just too bright..
I know there are teachers and professionals who have videos up and books and more books. However, it would be more than absolutely amazing if Cannonball got some of there players to do a video, guide on how to perfect/play confidently, the altissimo register. Thanks
Now I know there have been alot of questions about if a cannonball is a concert or a jazz horn. Cannonball has done a great job of representing both. Now for the best concert sound i've been able to get is with the standard neck (over key) and a selmer paris c star mouthpiece and vandourin reeds. Now for jazz I use the fat neck (under key) and my Burg Larson Paris metal jazz mouthpiece. I do this with both my alto and my tenor Cannonball's. Now for concert solo use the fat neck and the selmer mp
@sniper5ful Cool! If he pays a visit, there's lots of new places to eat and Jazz with Billy Townes, Marty Olivas, Ruben Gutierrez, Demetrius Williams, and many others!
I'll keep my Selmer Reference series horns, but this is very nice. Exec playing their own creations. Thanks for sharing; may your stock price go up. :o)
Ok so im guessing that this is a Cannonball sponsored event that they are most likely using cannonball mouthpieces and since they are every where and seem like theyre the only reeds in existance (not really) im guessing that they might be using a type of vandourine, maybe the java (jazz) reeds or the v 16's
hi, I´m Julian from Argentina. I´ve a two Cannonball Saxophones: Gerald Albright tenor whit Beechler Bellite Metal #110 mouthpiece and the Hotspur alto whit Beechler Diamond # 7 mouthpiece. I´used Vandoren Java Nº 3 reeds in two instruments. I have the best performance whit this mouthpiece and reed
WHao!!!! Ryan I almost thought your were M. Brecker for a moment! May he RIP. Kudos to all of you. If only the other instruments were Cannonballs... LOL
So tight! Awesome solos! A true inspiration to all aspiring saxophonists. It's good to see some real music on here!

This is just nit-picking, but the piano sounds out of tune. The saxophones, however have blown my mind. absolutely insane.

Nice! Great chops! I just bought a Cannonball Tenor from Jimmy Olivas from Capshaw-Olivas Music in El Paso, TX.
Just similar to what the suit guy says:
On a Cannonball, "You're gonna love the way you sound - we guarantee it!"
Great horns!

Then the "saxophonist question": What kind of mouthpieces and reeds does You use?
