The Jets had some good teams in the 80's,but they had to face the Oilers more often than not in the first round in those days,so that didn't exactly help their playoff aspirations much.

Amazingly, this was the first ever win the Jets got against Edmonton in the playoffs, snapping a 16 game losing streak dating back to the 1983 playoffs. They'd been swept 4 straight times (first two were best-of-5 sweeps) and lost the first 2 of this series before finally getting a win.
