Theft is Theft she should of asked if she could give it away, she even stated when the managers sat down with her she thought they where just going to give her a warning , hence she knew it was wrong. at what cost is it theft?? try going into a 7/11 and eat some 5 cent candies see what they say.
We're talking about a 16 cent tibit Tytus2323 and just so you know this woman got her job back. Of course she shouldn't have lost it in the first place.
I'm sure there's a lot more to the story than what's been reported in the media. Perhaps she had a discipline problem? Tardiness? Missed shifts? Constantly short on her till? The timbit could have been the straw that broke the proverbial camel's back.
If all that stuff you say is true truenorth1968 why didn't we hear about it & why did this woman get her job back? Is it possible she never did the things you said & the person who fired her is just a power hunger jerk who doesn't like kids? Remember timbits are given to dogs on a regular basis.

Go through the drive through with your dog, they will give the mutt a couple freebies.
As she said, they give them away all the time. There was nothing new or unusual in giving a timbit to a baby.
And the baby wasn't just wandering through, I believe there was a parent present who was BUYING stuff.. I think what she did is called "PR".
The manager was power-tripping. Not much room for debate here.
