I'm an ethical nihilist in the sense that I don't believe any moral claim can be said to be objectively true or false; they can only be practical for achieving a certain goal.
" a man born in chains knows not he's in chains at all"
the funny thing about humans is we tend to make things. we make buildings, we make rockets, we make theories, we make gods, we make up rules based on our every day life.
the point is, you can't know if the ball is going to fly until you throw it. so if we never throw the ball, to us the ball never flies. OTHER people might know the ball flies but to us it doesn't.
so we must try, challenge our beliefs, so we can reach a greater understanding.
we know its impossible to learn everything. but to be a better race of humans. we must destroy this idea of morality. of Reality. for all these things are is a filter. we don't know of it, we haven't seen it. so when we confront it. we reject it. the coming of understanding, is a long road. and these rules our mind makes, just slow us down. the challenge we face. the ultimate test.
yes. to unite as a race instead of separate nations we need one of two things. #1 and opposing force greater than nations ( such as a planet or a solar system)or #2 abolish all differences our mind puts between us. such as the laws our mind makes. such as morality, reality, anything your mind uses to filter out whats wrong and whats right, or whats fake and whats real.
depends on what you define as humanity. i define it as a race of humans striving and surviving to be the top dog. much like a pride of lions. you define it as civilities. such as instead of killing some one, you take over their business then fire them leaving the a useless bankrupt husk with out a motivation in the world, slowly dragging out their long boring lives to the grave.
its dog eat dog wither way. remove morality and it just becomes... more efficient.
the difference between us and a pride of lions is our unique ability to execute advanced and abstract reasoning. this is how we develop empathy and, in some cases, altruism.
morality is a hybrid result of our evolved psyche. while we are still struggling to define the lines between "traditional" and "fundamental" morality - the concept of morality itself is the driving force of the success of our species.
we depend on the notion of cooperating with one another. we can transcend instinct.
so... by cooperating we can over come primal instincts. now that i can agree with. two people or even a couple people can very easily over come instinct. but were not talking about a couple people. were talking about a society.
a society were if your not climbing the pile of beaten down people to take down the next king of the hill, your one of the pile.
you still think of yourself as the individual to individual, instead of the race to itself. humanity exists only BECAUSE there is no peace.
humanity exists because of what little peace we've been able to maintain.
of there were no peace, we'd all kill each other - goodbye humanity.
and I do agree that our monetary structure revolves around "climbing the ladder". obviously this needs to change. a world where everyone lives optimally and equally is a great thought, and one we should be striving for.
i just don't understand how becoming amoral would help. murder and conflict would be rampant.
you misunderstand. you assume just because some one can they will. do you honestly think humanity hates itself that bad?
im not saying amoral would help. im saying we need to tear down all morals just once and create morals as a whole. not as the individual. the whole point of my argument is that we think of ourselves as the individual and others instead of we as a race. im saying we need to be A complete organism. earth as a whole needs to be connected. cells don't make war, why do we.
okay then. sorry if im hard to interpret. i have this whole damn system figured out in my head and its always hard to say one idea and remember they also need to know this, this, and this.
Very empowering.

Shit, I forgot to bring up something to discuss.
I'm an ethical nihilist in the sense that I don't believe any moral claim can be said to be objectively true or false; they can only be practical for achieving a certain goal.
Any objections?

I think what you mean is to separate *traditionalist morality* from *fundamental morality*.
Getting rid of basic morals such as killing and stealing as acts of wrongdoing do not aid humanity at all.
