  • Representa un estatus ahora, porque antes hasta el mas humilde se echaba sus palos de whisky sin tanta sifrineria...

  • Another example how Venezuela is still stock in the 70's.

  • It's amazing how influenced we are by power and money. That makes sense to me. I always asked myself why and where did a get the my liking for whiskey. It's because venezuelans think we gotta be on top hehehe. In reality is not true. We just like to pretend. That is something that i hate about my ppl. i cannot stand it. Even though i am not like that, everyone i know IS, including relatives and closer friends.

  • Venezuelans may no longer be the #1 consumers of whiskey, but the few ones that can still afford it do it mostly as a ststus symbol (at home they prefer the cheap local beer: polar). This is a society that stills remebers with mellancholy the days of economic prosperity and in those, long gone days, whiskey sure was to be poured abundantly. Today, those who drink it, do it, pathetically, to showoff they can still live the "good life" while the rest of their country men are starving.

  • @roloenweston i think that is not true! ppl drink whiskey all the time..it is not about "status"!

  • Venezuelans dont like whisky because of its taste, if breast milk were the highest priced drink or "the international drink of status" to quote the whiskey importer guy, people in the streets could name a wide variety of breast sizes and rankings, its all about make impressions, everything in Venezuela its about making impressions, its the same with the bikers or "motorizados" there, many of them dont even have a roof under their heads but they are holding the latest blackberry phone

  • I was in caracas a few months ago. Rum rum rum my friend. I thinj

  • Its just amazing to see how a country can be full of soo many contradictions...

  • The world there is as shallow as it appears. How pathetic.

  • @nicksynnz How so?

  • him I wonder if they like canada club whiskey

  • In Tijuana happens too, sctoch whisky is the favorite, more people drink whisky than tequila here.

  • @AslanMikarov Yeah, but Venezuela is THE number one importer of whisky in the world. We are a bunch of drunks lol.

  • @knuckles15961 drop that envy and go to drink ur stupid budweiser!!! while i drink my 18 year old whisky! MTF!!!!

  • it is a pity Arturo Sarmiento who came here to the UK to Sandhurst Military academy and was the 1st Latin American in history to win awards in Winston churchill's school decided to go back just to make more money importing scotch into Caracas money he doesn't need because he owns ranches no wonder our country Vzla is such in a mess.

  • Ridiculisimo !!

  • ya me dieron ganas de tomar Whisky

  • JOHNNIE WALKER IN, HUGO CHAVEZ OUT!
