Paul was on his way to John's house reading the newspaper. He put the paper down and asked his driver,"How is everything going?" the man responded with,"Ahh...working eight days a week." Paul immediatly ran into Johns house when he got there and started to write the song. Sorry...I just a read a whole book on the Beatles and it mentioned this song. *blush*

My sister Angel and I used to play this record a lot in the summer of '72 after looking through our parents' stack of records. We liked it so we kept playing it. The other side of the record was "I don't want to spoil the party". Of course, I loved the Beatles way before summer '72.

I 1964 I was ten and loved all these these Beatles songs,wanted to grow my hair long,it was cheapest for a kid to buy the 45 rpm single at the store, it had two songs on it and we'd listen to them over and over.Those were the days.A kids life and the Beatles,what could be better?

I would love to hear this song on a hot July day by the beach. Right by the ocean. Regardless of when it was recorded, this tune will always remind me of a classic Summer song. :)
