Steve Fox from tekken do have this wird bent punches...but also had a "infinite roll" thats is in fact the demspey roll, had other punches that looks very close to de anime-manga. like the smash, the Volg`s punch ( i dont know the punch`s name in english), the dragon fish from kimura, the flicker..but i don´t know if the creator of hajime no ippo or tekken had somthing in common.

@Ariel1Dominguez it's called all real boxing techniques, iirc nearly everything used in the anime/manga is a real boxing technique, and most of them are based on real boxers.

yep, i just wanted to say that steve fox do punches that the anime charcaters also do.

the only kind of punches i never saw in real boxing is those bent punches. do you know who in real life do it? (the easiest to find was jack dempsey haha)
