@dRuMzILLa52483 hey, yeah a pin tail the basic shape to start with but it depends on what you like the look of. like tricks or just cruising or even down hill. the board in this vid is an original apx 37 they do it in a few weight groups. i have the loaded tan tien but only got it because they dont do a dervish in my weight and i regret it now. so really look around and if you can, try some. hope that helps :)

@sunshinegrl1233 Go with a longer board over top of the Derringer for sure. If you want to avoid speedwobbles longer boards / wheelbases are better.

Try the Pintail 40 with Randal or Bear trucks.

@kazzauja Check out the Apex 37 Carbon, in Middleweight flex if you are into the tricks, if not the Pintails you suggested would be fantastic (either the Pintail 43 or the Pintail 46) for more cruise / carve / bomb type riding.

You can always load Randal or Bear trucks on your deck (regardless of which you end up going with) if you want to add more stability at speed (which will cost you low speed carving performance)

@Cavylian For flatland most of our boards can be customized with Original S8 trucks. Those are my favorite for flatland riding.

For your height and weight you could look at the Pintail 40, the Apex 37 or even the Hybrid if you want a more surf style ride with a kicktail.

Thanks for the interest.

We have a couple of boards that would get you started on the right foot without laying out too much cash.

Check out the Original Pintail 37 ($169) or Pintail 40 ($179). Alternately you could wait a few weeks and look at the Derringer 28 ($149).

Those boards are all in expensive as far as performance longboards are concerned. Let us know what you think!
