Best German rock group of the Sixties. I just found them on You Tube as well as another fine group out of England that I saw on tour with them, Check out the Liverpool Five who went on to emigrate to the US.
A close friend who saw this band touring in Germany and Austria in 1963 with the Liverpool Five turned me on to both groups who now have stuff on You Tube and remastered cds. Wunderbar!!!!!
Agree with you that the song ain't so great. 'The Witch' was hugely better if you ask me. This sounds like something from the soundtrack of one of those rock musicals that were all the rage back then. Too many horns and strings and just a repeating chorus with a depressing message.
the british invasion was great and all, but, we had great bands like the byrds and velvet underground, zappa ,who were also equally innovative among many others. the uk didn't have it all.
totally agree,i dont know what i would do without my daily dose of bands like the electric prunes, the standells, the chocolate watchband,i love the doors,13th floor elevators amongst a shit load of over brilliant bands from across the pond,i never said we "had it all" just that british bands were the spark that ignited the fire!!
Yeah, but even as far as igniting the fire, i find debateable. For every radical band in the Uk, there was an american band likewise and Germany had some great radical bands that were even more creative and radical than what some of those overrated american or brit heroes were doing. I'll take CAN over the Beatles anyday.

It's a realistic song. Life is not Burger King: "You can't have it your way" all the time!
SamuraiFrank67 11 months ago
The song is about life-reality. You can't have it your way all the time. Good message for today's instant gratification consumers!

This song's depressing, ~I want sunshine everyday :).

The guitar riff is vicious and the chorus has a nice hook to it. The girl rocks most definitely!

check out -Ruphus Coloured Dreams- for another good example of early 70s heavy rock with a chick singing..
THUNDERCORPSE666 1 year ago
I like it but the chorus needs work :^) I mean, if it was just her singing it and not
the whole band trying to drown her out.. it would sound better.

i am addicted to this song it rocks so bad! better than any of the crap made in the last 25 years!

I love German rock bands! I own discs by at least 20 different ones and still keep hearing great stuff. Bach and Beethoven and rock'n'roll!

Doesn't the refrain sound similar to "Carry That Weight" from the Beatles?

I couldn't agree on behalf of the singer: excellent voice and power. Without her, the group was without interest.
She is doing jiddish songs nowadays.

got any more info? like, where can i hear her new stuff.

Look for Edna Béjarano (with or without the accent on the E).
She had a group together with her mother Esther, a survivor of the Auschwitz girls orchestra, which was (or is) named Coincidence.
I am not sure where you might find something to listen to on the web. Good luck searching.

With better lead vocals, this could have been a good record. But this woman is simply horrible.

I think he voice fits the music quite well.
Melowgold 3 years ago 7
I agree with youbut I don't think that's too much of a problem...I mean AC/DC got a record deal didn't they?
What I see as their problem is that there is no musical structure at all to this...it's just all verse/chorus/verse/chorus...
Boring if you ask me, but I'm sure I'll get flamed. There is far better krautrock out there, like Grobschnitt and Amon Duul I/II.

However, the British musicians stole their riffs and licks from American rhythm and blues music.

At this Point (1971) Achim has leave the Band and the Woman was the new Leadsinger of the Band.
