It's not unusual to see Crosby grinding it out along the boards or to lay a vicious check on someone... Just as recently as Friday night's game, he was roughing it out with a damn near 7 foot tall (on skates) Hal Gill and managed two points while he was at it. A feat that Ovechkin and others failed to do.

And the fact that most times he avoids contact and skates to another (read: more open part of the ice) is because well... if you had any hockey knowledge you'd know that as a scorer and playmaker, Crosby's main priority is not to lay bone crushing checks on guys at every opportunity... but rather to open himself up for scoring chances... so basically, you're dissing him for being good / smart at his position
