Brings back memories, I had a maroon fiat that looked just like the one in the video that I had in Hawaii, it was a brown and I had it painted maroon and also had the bra and lots of other work I had done to it. Sure do miss that car but spent lots of hours on it.
I have an '81 that bought for $600. Saved it from the crusher and it's repaid me with three years of reliable service so far. and I drive 500-600 miles a week. I love my spider. Don't get me wrong, it is an Italian sports car so I do keep a "back-up" ready to take me to work if the Fiat needs attention, but if you keep up on the maintenance they tend to be reliable little cars.
Perfectly doable. My dad put over 430,000 miles on his '69 Spyder, with the orginal engine and transmission. He practically rebuilt the whole car every few years though. Now that it has a much higher powered engine it doesn't get driven nearly as much. Keep it simple and enjoy.
I daily drive my 77 and really have no problems with it. Occasional weekend maintinance but nothing major and i drive about 300 miles a week for work most of it on the Long Island Expressway, you get some looks top down in November but just adds to the fun really. Keeping these cars going once youve got the problems sorted is a sinch and you just fix things as you go on weekends.
i own a 1980 pinninfarina spider that im going to fully restore. its pretty cool, it was originally sold by don yenko audi, porsche, fiat. yes the same don yenko of classic camaro fame!. so far im the only fiat spider owner i know of to get a spider from yenko's dealership, making miine a Yenko Fiat of sorts. hee hee.
Thank you very much. So far it is all factory except for the alloy wheels but they are of the same age of the car......i am planning to give it a full restoration in 3 yrs time as for now its good to go. Interior is still in perfect condition. Thank you for the appricitation.....i like your video and cars, the 124 is a very elegant and beautiful car, one is pininfarina and mine is bertone, both italians :-)
nice video (and a nice BS1 or CS1...not sure)

I plan on buying one of these...AND, using it for a daily driver. Should I just kill myself now? Lol
